Right to display Confederate Flag
- Maryland Board of Education
- United States of America
According to the school officals, there was a fight between the "Black Panthers" and the "Red Necks" six yrs ago at a local high school. This fight was apparently over a Confederate Flag displayed by the "Red Necks" and the display of Malcom X material. Due to this fight, all confederate flags (jewelry, belt buckle, hats, bumper stickers, etc...) have been banned.
This petition is written to allow the children that attend public school in the state of Maryland the right to wear confederate flag material due to the fact that there are still states that fly the confederate flag as their state flag. This flag represents history! NOT SLAVERY! With the proper education in the public school systems children would learn this a flag of history. This flag is not a symbol of hatred!
