Arnold Schwarzenegger's budget cuts are proposing to cut out Cal Grants. These Cal Grants are awarded to older students who are low income and high achievers who want to continue their education.
Cal Grants are only awarded to people with a annual income of 16,000 and a GPA of 3.0 or above. With today's economy people are trying to get into better jobs by returning to school. These cuts would eliminate help students would get for tuition. This could completely eliminate a person's way of returning to school.
There are thousand who rely on the Cal Grant to help with schooling.
