Sept 23/16, The City of Victoria began implementing regulations for Cannabis related businesses, including prohibiting the consumption of cannabis on the premises. Both the Federal and Provincial government have recognized the right to access to Cannabis but they have not yet recognized the right for safe ingestion and inhalation.
These regulations are a direct threat to places that allow onsite consumption, thus, forcing an individual into unsafe and compromising situations e.g. residential evictions.
We, the undersigned, are concerned citizens who urge our leaders to act now to revise these regulations so that they include access to safe consumption of cannabis and protection for the places that provide that service.
