As you are all aware, the Iranian gov. continues to violate human rights by suppressing its own citizens from peacefully protesting the latest presidential election with violence, arrests, and intimidation.
We, the undersigned, are deeply concerned about the situation in Iran. Why has the government of Iran resorted to violence, further suppression of rights, and restriction of all media coverage?
Homes have been invaded and Iranian citizens savagely beaten and detained. Most tragically, several Iranian citizens have already been killed.
We condemn the acts of violence against Iranians who are peacefully and legitimately demanding the basic right to protest.
I assure you, we are paying close attention to this terrible atrocity, as is the rest of the world.
