First of all, we appreciate the Russian government for giving us scholarship to study in Russia through scholarship offered by OPEN DOORS. We are constrained to bring to your notice our predicaments since September 1, 2020 when we started online classes and ought to have arrived Russia for the commencement of our studies.
No thanks to Covid-19 pandemic that has ravaged the whole world including Russia and which has disrupted the academic calendar for 2020/2021 academic session, we want the Open Doors and other relevant organizations to come to our aid by helping us interface with the Russian Government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

We notice and appreciate the effort of Russian government in ensuring we do not miss out on lectures. It has come to our notice that the universities in Russia will resume physical teaching in February 2021.
The cost of studying remotely for some courses in Sciences, Engineering, Medicine and ICT may affect the performance of students.

Some of us who are beneficiaries of the scholarship are from developing countries where Internet and Electricity are major concerns as they are unreliable and expensive.

The Time difference between the countries where some of us come from differ significantly with that of Moscow.

Our desire to study Russian Language and Culture are facing serious setback.

There seems to be little or no opportunity for us to interact with lecturers and other colleagues who are already on campus.

We might be loosing chances and opportunities of finding good places to intern and also some of us who wants to apply for exchange programmes in another country can’t do this from our home country.

We want to express our grave concern that those that are in school have better advantages over us in terms of direct contact with Professors and ability to organize tutorials amongst themselves.

We have little or no access to the hands-on practical experience which our universities provide and other cutting-edge technologies that the Professors may adopt in teaching and research.

We are ready to observe the mandatory 14 days quarantine as being prescribed for foreign students in other countries before they are allowed to join physical classes.

We the International students are pleading that you allow us to join physical classes by asking the appropriate government agencies to issue us with Visa invitations to enter the Russian country.
