The children should not be let out of school into an unattended alley way which flows into a very busy parking lot.
The alley way will pose problems in the winter months when snow and ice are in season and children can slip and fall injuring themselves.
The children not only have the potential of being abducted in an unsupervised alley way but also are being put into harms way having to walk through an occupied and busy parking lot.
We, the undersigned, call on the staff and parents of Bartlett Elementary School to rethink and restructure the newly changed dismissal rules and regulations.
The newly revised plan will be putting our children in harms way. Having our children walk into and through an unattended alley way and then having to walk into and through a heavily populated parking lot just does not make sense.
We, the undersigned, ask that you halt advances on the new plan stated to start on October 2, 2006 and put into place a new safer plan that will benefit all parties that are involved. Parties being parents, children and the shop owners in the mall directly next store to the school.
