In April 2016, Instagram began rolling out a change to the order of photos visible in a user's timeline, shifting from a strictly chronological order to one determined by an algorithm. Instagram said the algorithm was designed so that users would see more of the photos by users that they liked.
This algorithm causes people to abandon or neglect the social network, because celebrities, sport sites and other popular accounts will always come before family and friends on the timeline. Not everyone is able to spent time, or even has a fancy for swiping through all the posts in order to see pictures of their not so active friends. The previous chronological timeline was more logical, more effective and even-handed to every user of the network.

We, the people, call on the Instagram (or Facebook) to eliminate the algorithm and bring back the chronological timeline. #BringBackOurTimeline
