Courts are trying children as adults, but before they are trying children as adults, the court and/or jury, need to look at the environment that that child was in, make sure they have their current mental state checked by a phycologist, and why they did what they did. Court and jury need to take these into consideration, to make sure the child gets the punishment they deserve and/or get the help that they need.
