We are Alaskan voters and most of us use and own guns.
We are in favor of better firearms regulations.
We support the second amendment, but we know that there are things we can do to make our country safer without violating the second amendment.
We recognize that the way forward is bipartisan legislation, whether at the state or federal level, to help curb gun violence, and preserve our status as responsible gun owners.
We need sensible, second amendment-compliant legislation.

We ask our legislators to reform gun law in Alaska and nationwide.

• Bump stock ban
• Purchase age of 21
• Real background checks
• Background checks required for gun show and private sales
• Title checks on second hand guns to protect the buyer
• Removal of the Dickey Amendment
• Registration of guns by serial number with local police
• Mandatory gun safety classes before purchase for anyone born after 1998
• Large capacity magazines added to the National Firearms Act
• Establishment of a rating system for firearms based on the velocity, mass, and diameter of the projectiles they fire
