1. INTRODUCTION OF A NEW TOOLING/SAMPLE FUNDING GRANT

Britain is one of the most creative and innovative Countries in the World, yet with all the extensive Government support available, why are so many innovative projects still failing to obtain funding?

On first glance the list below appears to the casual observer to provide a nice clean flow of grants for each stage in taking a new product from initial concept to shop shelf. However, hiding within this flow between 3 & 4 is a crippling ‘Catch 22’ capable of sending even the most promising of projects into the Abyss by preventing access to the EFGS, which in turn, when an application is turned down, creates a false impression that there is something intrinsically wrong with the Project, People or Proposition rather than the Support System itself.

1. Smart - Proof of Market Grant Up to £25,000 Available

2. Smart - Proof of Concept Grant Up to £100,000 Available

3. Smart - Development of Prototype Up to £250,000 Available

(Catch 22 - Buyers 'Cannot' purchase off 'Prototypes')

(Catch 22 - Banks and Investors will not lend without 'Orders')

(Catch 22 - Production Quality Samples are now required to obtain 'Orders')

(Catch 22 - Without 'Orders' you CANNOT qualify for No 4,. EFGS Funding?)

4. Enterprise Finance Guarantee Scheme (EFGS) - Up to £1,000,000 Available

Leaving this issue unresolved poses the question; Why make collective Grants of up to £375,000 of tax payers money available for a Project to reach Prototype stage only to leave it exposed to an issue that prevents access to the EFGS funding needed to take it any further?

The ‘Catch22’ explained; Due to the global economic condition even Private Equity Investors now follow the Banks in refusing to lend until a Project can show actual Orders placed for its products (Proof of Income). Buyers however CANNOT Order off Prototypes and so demand sight of Actual Production Samples before they can place those Orders (Proof of Quality).

This creates the proverbial ‘Catch 22’ scenario because the Projects need the Funds to make the Tooling - to get the Samples the Buyer demands - before they can place the Orders the Bank demands - before providing the Funds. As you can see, once a Project falls into this trap there is rarely a way out!

2. Stop New legislation, Georgia House Bill (HB) 840 which would allow filmmakers to obtain exhibition permits for the use of Georgia's native wildlife

New legislation, Georgia House Bill (HB) 840 would allow filmmakers to obtain exhibition permits for the use of Georgia's native wildlife.

Animals will be torn from their natural homes, kept in captivity, and potentially used again and again. They will be denied all that is natural and important to them so that the DNR can make money off selling licenses to film companies. This practice is currently prohibited.

We must fight to stop this cruel bill and protect Georgia wildlife.

3. Stop Peel Holdings Plan AS17 - Petition to speak at Full Council Meeting

MMAAPP’s objection to Peel Holdings proposal AS17 to build a massive industrial/logistics complex on highly productive and most valued agricultural greenbelt. A development which would destroy habitat and prime food growing land, encourage urban sprawl and see communities merge. We are campaigning to protect the land and support development on alternative brownfield sites.

We would hope that Sefton Council will reject plan AS17 as inappropriate on agricultural greenbelt that is an essential gap between communities.

By 2030 the UK will need an additional 2 million hectares of good growing land. Why allow our best, most productive asset to be destroyed now, when brownfield sites are available, and are as well or even better connected for Peel’s purposes? Once it’s gone it’s gone: Forever.

Thank you for your support.

4. Save Sefton Borough’s Green Belt – stop Peel Holdings’ plan

MMAAPP (Melling, Maghull and Aintree Against Peel Plan) exists to prevent over 100 acres of the UK’s best grade agricultural land being destroyed for profit and replaced by industrial units, leading to congested roads, loss of amenity, and the start of the erosion of the last of our Green Belt and the destruction of communities’ boundaries.

By 2030 the UK will need an additional 2 million hectares of good growing land. Why allow our best, most productive asset to be destroyed now, when brownfield sites are available, and as well if not better connected for Peel’s purposes. Once it’s gone it’s gone: Forever.

Thank you for your support.

5. Keep the New Barn from being demolished

The Council said I have impacted on the green belt by cutting into the land at one end by 80cm down to 4cm at the other end of the land to make the ground level to start building. The building is the same height as the old building.

I applied for 200 square meter of internal space which was granted by the council. The new building is 197 square meters external so I am within 200 square meters.

I have used recycled materials where possible, the walls under the cladding are recycled pallets and all power in the building lighting will be led. I have not impacted on the green belt. The new building looks so much better than the old metal framed barn, and is in keeping with the green belt. I live in the green belt and would not harm it.

This new studio will benefit local and international artists, video productions, recording artists who would like to record live as in the past, engineers and producers, and people in the music and film business, and local businesses, including Hotels, B&B, Pubs, Restaurants, take aways, taxis, and all other local businesses.

I didn’t want to play on the fact that I am in a wheel chair as I don’t think about it and all my friends treat me as just a mate with no disability, but the council have not taken into account that I have built this studio for people with disabilities with easy access to all parts of the building and easy parking.

6. Remove Team Rocket from the Pokemon Anime Series

After watching the Pokemon Anime throughout its run, we have decided that we the undersigned would like the characters Jessie/Musashi, James/Kojiro, and Meowth/Nyasu to be removed from the series entirely as many of us feel they have outstayed their welcome.

We feel they have lost the charm, depth of character, and generally the purpose as well as the character development they had gained at this point, while others who sign this petition may not like said villains' presence in the anime altogether: thus, they would like to see other villains from the games get the spotlight instead at this point.

7. The United States government should endorse biological warfare

The United States government should endorse in the production, development, and stockpiling of biological weapons because of its role as the next great step in warfare and its detachment from the battlefield.

Not only for offensive purposes, but for defensive purposes as well, preferably in Fort Detrick, Maryland at USAMRIID.

8. Stop Prius production

Toyota Prius owners around the world are mostly "nature-friendly" kind of people, and 90% of Prius owners have a Prius because of "save nature" perspective.

What they don't know, is that production of their Prius hurts environment much more than standard petrol/diesel powerd cars do in their whole lifetime. Also, production of Prius goes around the world (ex. Nickel mining, Canada, refining mined Nickel in Europe, further production in China, and sent to Japan where it is fitted into a car). Not mentioning the fact that parts are all being shipped across the globe, and cargo ships are not so nature friendly.

Studies have shown that in a long term, Prius makes more environmental damage than Land Rover Discovery in its whole lifespan.

9. Demand a third party evaluation of the penny from Parliament

http://www.creditcardscanada.ca/news/2011-02-15-penny-brief

Over the past several years, the rising cost of production of the superannuated penny has come to the public's attention. Various evaluations of the penny's production costs have been done, some higher than the Government's assessment of 1.5c. Several factors are involved in the production cost of the penny:

- Producing the one-cent coins;
- Storing them;
- Transporting them;
- Going to a financial institution to obtain, roll and deposit them

This petition is to ask for a third party evaluation of these costs to ensure the fair treatment of the penny's demise and account for funds otherwise not accounted for.

10. Stop Facebook

Facebook is a social-networking website, but not just any social-networking website. It is the most popular one on the web, causing people to be addicted almost instantly. Why should we waste away our lives on an addiction, especially one that is counter-productive? Look to the future and what do you see? I see a future where hardly anyone talks face-to-face anymore; it is all based off of the web.

Just imagine, there will definitely be something more popular and more addicting than Facebook, so this addiction will get worse, but we can stop it or at least decline it. We can fix it. We can shape the future.

11. Production of Final Four Episodes of Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles

In 1999, Sony Pictures produced the computer-animated series “Roughnecks: Starship Troopers Chronicles”, which drew elements both from Robert Heinlein’s 1959 novel, and Paul Verhoeven’s 1997 film adaptation, appealing to the fans of book and film alike.

The series quickly gained a strong following, receiving praise from numerous science-fiction and television magazines, winning an Emmy, and being nominated for several other awards.

However, due to time and money constraints, four key episodes representing the dramatic final bend of the final story-arc were halted in mid-production, and replaced with four stand-alone clip-shows, which consisted mostly of recycled animation. But according to producer Audu Paden, the producers felt their originally planned stories were so strong, a case could be made for restoring them at a later time.

That time is now. The four missing episodes are very close to completion. The writing and scripting are done; the story’s ending is decided. The voice actors have already recorded the necessary dialogue. Storyboards and animatics lay ready to be referenced by animators and composers for a final product that can only provide a profitable boost to the Starship Troopers franchise.

Roughnecks endures as one of the best-written and most outstanding animated series television has ever seen. Its compelling story and powerful themes have touched the hearts of viewers in over thirty countries. Sony Pictures can no longer leave their impressive work unfinished, but must see it through to completion, thus stimulating their own revenue, and providing their fans with the long-awaited closure of this beloved series.

15. BAN DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!

May 8, 2006

BAN DIHYDROGEN MONOXIDE!

Dihydrogen monoxide is colorless, odorless, tasteless, and kills uncounted thousands of people every year. Most of these deaths are caused by accidental inhalation of DHMO, but the dangers of dihydrogen monoxide do not end there. Prolonged exposure to its solid form causes severe tissue damage. Symptoms of DHMO ingestion can include excessive sweating and urination, and possibly a bloated feeling, nausea, vomiting and body electrolyte imbalance. For those who have become dependent, DHMO withdrawal means certain death.

Dihydrogen monoxide:

-is also known as hydroxl acid, and is the major component of acid rain.
-contributes to the "greenhouse effect."
-may cause severe burns.
-contributes to the erosion of our natural landscape.
-accelerates corrosion and rusting of many metals.
-may cause electrical failures and decreased effectiveness of automobile brakes.
-has been found in excised tumors of terminal cancer patients.

Contamination is reaching epidemic proportions!

Quantities of dihydrogen monoxide have been found in almost every stream, lake, and reservoir in America today. But the pollution is global, and the contaminant has even been found in Antarctic ice. DHMO has caused millions of dollars of property damage in the midwest, and recently California.

Despite the danger, dihydrogen monoxide is often used:
as an industrial solvent and coolant.
-in nuclear power plants.
-in the production of styrofoam.
-as a fire retardant.
-in many forms of cruel animal research.
-in the distribution of pesticides. Even after washing, produce remains contaminated by this chemical.
-as an additive in certain "junk-foods" and other food products.

Companies dump waste DHMO into rivers and the ocean, and nothing can be done to stop them because this practice is still legal. The impact on wildlife is extreme, and we cannot afford to ignore it any longer!

The American government has refused to ban the production, distribution, or use of this damaging chemical due to its "importance to the economic health of this nation." In fact, the navy and other military organizations are conducting experiments with DHMO, and designing multi-billion dollar devices to control and utilize it during warfare situations. Hundreds of military research facilities receive tons of it through a highly sophisticated underground distribution network. Many store large quantities for later use.

This is an extremely urgent issue, please sign this petition so that we can get he Government's attention and stop the disastrous spread of this speciously dangerous substance!

17. Allow the production of "Fences"

March 02, 2006

The RPS District #205 refused Auburn the right to put on the play "Fences", an all black play by August Wilson.

18. Investigate health effects of Modern Line Products' production processes

January 27, 2006

To detemine cause of employee health problems at Modern Line Products.

The mortality rate for former employees is very high in comparison to other manufacturers in the Mississippi delta.

Modern Line Products used Asbestos, Silicosis, Manganese, Lead Paint, Paint removers, Asbestos & Mesothelioma, Tooling bits known to cause cancer and Oils that cause cancer.

All the abovementioned items are in the courts all over the country. What we are asking is that an investigation be done in a speedy and efficient manner to determining what health effects these chemicals and other hazardous materials had on the
Janaury 27, 2006

Employees and what the effect would have on their offspring in the future.

We also concern about how Modern Line Products disposed chemical and other hazardous materials.

This Petition applies to those who have lost a family member who once was employed by Modern Line Products.

19. Ban any film version of the play "Corpus Christi"

In 1998, Terrance McNally produced Corpus Christi, a stage play that depicted Jesus and his disciples as gay.

There have been rumors that a movie will be made and released about this subject, whether or not based on McNally's play.

This petition is a voice of protest agaisnt the production, planned or not, of such a movie.

20. Get Berkeley's Public TV Station in East Bay

Your city government has the power to get Comcast to include this channel for all cable subscribers in the East Bay. So, please read and sign this petition today!

21. Stop The Production of Child Labour Made Products

We would like to boycott products made from child labour in stopping the production of these products, such as soccer balls or carpets. We would like factory owners realize how important this issue really is and the danger of having child work. We feel that by doing so, we will be one step closer to eliminating child labour around the world.

22. The Tribe Season 1 DVD Distribution

Cloud 9's production of hit television series The Tribe is an unstoppable success in many countries including but not limited to the United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Mexico. However these countries do not have the privilege of purchasing Tribe Merchandise and would love to have the opportunity to purchase the DVD box sets now in circulation.

23. Save Lizzie McGuire!

Many of you do not know, but Lizzie McGuire has ended production. They stopped making new episodes last Summer of 2002. They still have about 3 episodes that they have not shown yet. But we hope that we can do something about that. Maybe this petition will convince the Disney Channel that ending Lizzie McGuire is a bad thing!

25. NOS Prelude Plate Kit

Because of the DP nitrous kit being very hard to install on the Honda Prelude, there is a need for the plate kit. NOS has given infromation out about the kit, but has not yet out the kit into production. We are not sure if this is a fear of there not being enough demand or not, but if that is so, we need to prove them wrong, and show that there is a very large demand for the plate kit.

Please sign up if you would be insterested in buying the plate kit for your Honda Prelude, for infromation on the kit, please visit nosnitrous.com. A group-buy may be required to show just how high the demand really is. If you are interested in the kit, please sign!

26. Produce Followup Sets of Charmed Trading Cards

In 1999, Inkworks purchased the legal rights to produce trading cards for the television series "Charmed." Shortly thereafter, promotional cards announcing the release of season one in early 2000 were printed. However, the release date was set back and fans were forced to wait until December 2000 to purchase the eagerly anticipated card series. In every box appeared a "case loader" card which announced the arrival of the second set, season two Charmed cards "coming soon."

Currently on Inkworks' website [http://www.inkworkscards.com/products/coming.html], production for many other series are planned under their one-release-per-month policy, but Charmed is nowhere to be seen on their schedule. Other TV series have card sets released only a few months after the season has aired in completion, but Charmed fans who avidly awaited the first set to be released despite the year long delay are now facing the fact that they may never be produced because Inkworks claims the first set was a hassle to make. As it is, the set was trimmed down from the intended 90-card set to a 72-card set because of production difficulties. As long as Inkworks holds contractual rights to the series, no other manufacturer can produce the Charmed trading cards that Inkworks originally promised.

27. Richard Hatch On New "Battlestar Galactica".

Richard Hatch has put his heart and soul into the revival of the 70's Sci-Fi television series, "Battlestar Galactica".

We, the fans believe that because of Richard's efforts and tireless championing of the series return in 2002/2003, that he too should be a part of the new production.

Through the original screening of "Battlestar Galactica", subsequent reruns and VHS, Richard has endeared himself to millions of fans worldwide with his portrayal of the character 'Captain Apollo', fans who now stand behind his efforts to bring back to life the show he once starred on.

We the fans believe that 'Apollo' should be a part of the new "Battlestar Galactica" series. "Battlestar Galactica" without 'Apollo' is like a koala without a gumtree.

We the fans ask that you take into consideration all that Richard has done with regards to the revival of "Battlestar Galactica" and offer him, and 'Apollo' a place in the new production. We also hope you'll consider including all, if not some of the original "Battlestar Galactica" cast in the new production too.

Thank you.

28. Ban Landmines Now!

Landmines were created to slow-down large-scale enemy advancement in war, but in reality, 80% of estimated casualties are innocent civilians. In 1997 the International Campaign to Ban Landmines put the mine ban treaty into effect. This treaty bans the use, production, and transfer of antipersonnel landmines and has been ratified by 112 countries and signed by 139.

29. Push for the Production of an Uncut Version of Hackers

This petition has been formed in order to persuade MGM to release an uncut and uncensored DVD/VHS version of the film "Hackers". It is desired that this version will contain behind-the-scenes footage, in addition to the cut footage. It is preferred that the cut footage be integrated into the film in its originally intended position.

If enough people sign, it will show MGM that there is a viable market for this product. Sign and help us push for the production and release of what I have named the "Elite Edition" of "Hackers".
