1. Induct Jerry Lee Lewis into the Country Music Hall of Fame

Jerry Lee Lewis, equal in stature to the all time greats, Jimmie Rodgers, Al Jolson, and Hank Williams, and truly deserving of the title "Greatest Living American Song Stylist", is long overdue for induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The Ameripolitan Music Awards, a grassroots movement, has created this online petition to let the Country Music Association know that Jerry Lee Lewis has one of the most loyal fan bases of any country artist in history, and together we have the opportunity to influence the nominating committee and voting members of the CMA.

We are aware that Jerry Lee already has many advocates within the CMA and the Country Music Hall of Fame, and they need our help to make a strong case for his inclusion on the ballot.

Though he is one of the most successful recording artists of all time, having 54 albums and 77 singles (12 of them being #1), statistics alone cannot describe the unique contribution to country music by Jerry Lee Lewis. Beginning with his first single "Crazy Arms" in 1956, to his million seller "You Win Again" 1957, and through his string of classic country hits in the late 60s and 70s, Jerry Lee has defined and redefined what country music is,

2. Review the Oppresive Firearm Act: Nigerians should own Guns without legal impediments

The Nigerian firearms act of 1990 is one of the most reprehensible laws of Nigeria as seen at the website

This law snatches the power to bear arms and self defense from citizens and empowers religious fanatics and extremists who have killed thousands of Nigerians. Of note is the Boko haram insurgency which targets peaceful law-abiding citizens. Armed robbery attacks are on the increase. Militancy, religious fundamentalism and kidnapping are the order of the day.

There is mounting evidence that outlaws abound when they know that their targets are unable to defend themselves.

It is imperative that Nigerians be allowed to enforce their rights to life. Right to life and Freedom from oppression is guaranteed in the Nigerian constitution. Only an armed person can be free.

3. Keep Stockyards Shootout Tradition

The Fort Worth Stockyards is home to many traditions that make it a trademark for Texas pride and historical enthusiasm. It has stood the test of time, survived many disasters both natural and man-made.

For over twenty years one tradition has stood unopposed until today, the legendary Cowtown Shootout featuring three individuals, a law man, and two criminals, both armed with the iconic weapons of the western age; the revolver. During an extensive and immersive dialogue that attracts both regulars and newcomers alike, the two sides simulate an almost-real experience that explodes into a shootout that ends in the demise of two outlaws.

4. Stop Zoning in the U.S.

We shouldn't have zoning. They always call the United States the "Land Of Opportunity" but if they won't let us build what we want where we want, that isn't much opportunity is it? Outlawing zoning in the USA would satisfy a lot of people, including me. We should be able to build what we want where we want because:

a) more jobs, less unemployment
b) satisfaction
c) more space in a city

and much more! Please sign today.

5. Outlaw All Internet Porn And Scrap .xxx Domain

Ubiquitous, explicit internet porn is a never ending spam issue on forums and in emails, it degrades women and reiterates a young man's frustration, making him more dangerous and/or disinterested in human beauty outside the sexual realm. If someone started posting pornographic pictures through your letterbox, you'd call the police, wouldn't you? Yet, internet porn companies are allowed to roam the web freely, spamming our emails and forums.

The internet is a kind of collective consciousness and so we should respect it as such. If we are going to treat it as one mind, then it should be a respectful mind, not polluted with explicit liberties. This online public sexual freedom that's been granted has noticeably made people more sexual in the real public environment, when it is not welcome.

Many of us who feel an intimate relationship is unlikely to be realised make it a priority to disassociate ourselves from sexual content so as not to intimidate ourselves, hence why many who are celibate become monks, isolated from mainstream society. It is thus immoral and unfair that those who take sexual relationships for granted be allowed to display and distribute their experiences publicly as if to say any other person "should" expect to take it for granted also.

Furthermore, portraying a false majority vote that there is a real need for limitless and ubiquitous, free, explicit internet porn is highly detrimental to an individual's ability to believe that there is a spiritual alternative to one's sexual frustration. Removing internet porn would reverse this misleading portrayal and in turn encourage spiritual growth.

Internet porn doesn't prevent rape, it encourages it. It spreads hate, jealousy, racism and all kinds of incitement. Furthermore, not only do the government themselves claim that pedophilia is on the rise as a result, but even leaving content online in order to catch a pedophile means you need to generate fresh content as bait and the idea of any content remaining online, even for that purpose, is not a healthy thought. It's an unethical waste of space.

The more and more society becomes hooked on porn, the harder we will find to tune into our spiritual veins and experience the true beauty and freedom found in love.

Many single individuals have expressed concern that they had no porn addiction or interest prior to the internet and that the recent ease of access to ubiquitous free porn has enticed their addiction.

Furthermore, since 'sex' is the most searched keyword on the web, where 25% of total search engine requests are porn-related, and 70% of those searches during the working day, then whilst ubiquitous porn is merely one click away, the more likely society will become unable to harness its inner ability to seek the spiritual, since the spiritual requires gradual kindling, whereas porn is an easy, but detrimental distraction.

Internet porn is child abuse regardless of the porn's content since it is wrong to put any sexual content within easy reach, sight or even hearing of a child. The moment a child touches his mouse, he thinks of all the other people in the world and what they do when they touch theirs. The situation is no different to having an orgy in your lounge whilst your child is forced to listen at the door. In turn the government are representing themselves to children in a sexual manner.

According to government technology advisors, it is impossible to completely censor out porn to protect children and that Internet porn is something we must learn to live with instead. Yet even if this were the case, shouldn't Internet porn then, as an industry, be made entirely illegal? Hence this petition is a call for law reform.

In our opinion we should return to the days of mail order films and top shelf magazines, making the web a porn free zone and in turn making the background to our daily lives free of pollutive thought.

We shouldn't have this huge cloud hanging over our web - it's very bad news.

6. Outlaw Outsourcing or Tax Companies that Outsource

Unemployment is an issue that needs to be addressed quickly. With each passing day that this situation continues, thousands of laid-off workers around run out of state and federal benefits. There are simply not enough jobs with the amount of available workers there are and this is a serious problem for many families.

The ‘real’ unemployment rate is 17.5% (.4% more than what it was in December of 1962) which includes both the unemployed and underemployed. The amount of people that want to work but cannot find a job is more than five times the level early this decade and the highest unemployment level since the Great Depression. Even having enough money to take classes to study for a new career is proving difficult for many Americans. Ironically, many jobs are being denied to many graduates because they are overqualified. What will happen to the younger generations? The older generations? How much longer can we wait, Mr. President?

Most of this mess that we are in right now could be avoided if American companies would provide their jobs to American workers and not outsource them.

7. Place Johnny PayCheck in the Country Music Hall of Fame

Johnny PayCheck was a contributor to the country music world. He has an impressive catalog of music and helped to lead the outlaw image in country music that many artists took part in.

To this day you can still see elements of the outlaws in current artist. Many artists have rerecorded my fathers music and asked my father to be a part of their recordings. You can see his vocal influence in many artists as well, however the old man had a very unique voice. He is not a member of the Country Music Hall of Fame today, but I want to raise the fans and artists voices to a level that the country music industry can hear. I think my father influenced country music to a degree that he should be honored for.

He has yet to be entered in to the CMHoF, after all this time I had hoped to see his name on the distinguishable list of country music hall of famers. Please help out and let the country music industry hear your voice. By entering your information below you will be added to a petition that will help to get my father into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The fans understand it, other country music artists understand it, why doesn't the industry understand it?

8. Anti-gender fetus selection petition

We the NFPP believe that it is immoral to select the gender of a fetus. We will only allow it if the parents can prove there is a serious genetic disorder in their family that will cause the death or suffering of the baby if it is that gender.

9. Outlaw "door stepping" by religious groups in the UK

Like millions of people in the UK, I loathe the sanctimonious religious fanatics who insist on knocking on *my* front door, invading my territory and attempting to convert me to their faith.

As a gay man, I find this particularly harrassing since religious attitudes towards gay people are well known. You would not allow a Neo-Nazi to knock on a Jewish family's front door, nor would you allow the Klu Klux Klan to boldly state thier opinions on the front steps of a Black family home.

These people irritate and cause grave offence to many people and I beleive the practice of doorstepping should be outlawed.

If people want to know more about any given faith, they are more than capable of finding information for themselves.
