1. Getting Rid of Section377 of the Indian Penal Code

I stand with you, and I know, we stand together against discrimination whether it be against women, in the LGBTQ community or against any caste or religion. Up until recently, homosexuality was synonymous with the word ‘abomination’ and to many people, it still is. On 10th december, 1948, the UN General Assembly adopted the universal declaration of human rights. It states that “All human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights” Yet, forward to 2017, the UN Human Rights Council expresses grave concern at acts of violence and discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity. In 72 countries, same sex relationships are criminalised in violation of basic rights. However, the tide is turning, and since 1990, almost 40 countries have legalised same-sex relationships. Many more have lawfully banned discrimination against LGBTQ people, since more and more countries now recognise the urgency.

Unfortunately, India isn’t one of these countries. The discrimination being faced by the members of the LGBTQ community in India is a serious issue. They are targets of hate and brutal acts of violence. Section 377 of the Indian Penal Code encourages this discrimination by criminalising homosexuality. Section 377 labels innocent citizens as criminals only for having a different sexual orientation. We, as citizens of India, must work towards protecting the basic rights of the LGBT people. Getting rid of a hurdle like Section 377 will be a big step towards achieving this.

No longer should we sit in silence, we must stand for what we know is right, and that is equality and justice for all.

Let’s help bring about the change we want to see in society! You can help by signing this petition.

2. Australian Christian Lobby: Anti-Consistency, Lyle?

Noting the ACL's recent concerns that due to a lack of a Bill or An Act amendent in relation to Equal Marriage as being a reason to NOT SUPPORT a measure.

This is inconsistent with Australian Christian Lobby's support and petitioning for the ongoing funding of the National School Chaplaincy Programme. (NSCP)

The High Court in fact ruled that the Federal government did NOT have the power to fund them directly, i.e. via legislation.

Obviously there is a stark contrast, Marriage Equality is actually WITHIN the scope of Federal Government power.

The ACL has no problem with unlegislated actions that cost fortunes AND should perhaps retract it's position, apologise to the public at large and it's membership to perhaps clarify that a lack of a bill doesn't create uncertainty when it comes to straightforward equal rights question.

OR Start a campaign to stop the NSCP.

3. Equal Marriage Rights in Australia: the Don't be a bystander, stand by them' campaign

We are a year 8 class from Adelaide, Australia who are fighting for change. We are campaigning for equal marriage rights.

In Australia there are many adults and teens who are a part of the LGBTQ+ community. The LGBTQ+ community, just like you and I value Australia because of the freedoms we have but there is a problem: our current laws are not representative of these values and we want to see this change so that ALL Australians can be equally represented. We all have goals, dreams and aspirations and seek a happy and comfortable life without discrimination, so why are we stopping one another from having a valid marriage? Sign this petition to help support the LGBTQ+ community of Australia and let's see how far we can get to making marriage rights equal. A lot of talk has happened recently, with the issue being considered currently in parliament. Hopefully this will give it the final push it needs to become official.

4. Same same but different Marriage in Sydney

We as a people have had human rights for millions of years... black people have only recently had their rights and even now women. However when it comes to religion and the communion ceremony, only that of a woman and man are able. No matter the race or sexuality we as a people should be able to determine equal rights, not a religion or tribal vows. We write this Partien to enable rights of all to marry in Australia. Sydney is the gay capital of the world and it has also progressed by apologising to the aboriginal owners. If we can grow as a multicultural country, can we not do it as a family too?

5. Keep Kevin Caputo Off T.V.

There is so much anger and bullying going on in this world and TV is one of the many places people are picking up this behavior. Kevin Caputo is an angry person disgracing many people because of their race, gender, appearance or even illness. His "whites do it better" attitude is not something that needs to be on TV and on display for the world to see. Bullying is a very serious thing and an epidemic in many countries. Let's not condone someone using a bully-free TV network for their personal gain. Piggy-backing off the show Impractical Jokers is wrong!! The show promotes laughter and happiness not bullying and hatred.

6. Re-vitalize and Re-Construct the Nightlife of Buffalo, NY (716)

Buffalo NY, has long lived up to its legacy as a bleeding rustbelt city, pause, that was the case...however it is becoming increasingly noted for being a major attraction for "millennials" that being said, the environment in Buffalo has a long way to go before it maximizes the conducive properties it has that makes it a "millennial" magnet. This means the needs AND desires of this generation need to be taken into account and guess what...we like to get schwifty! This means there will be an active nightlife around the city. If this is true it is imperative we make sure that the scene promoted by the businesses that compose the profit of that nightlife is not only positive and healthy but doesn't negatively influence the culture in the city...sadly this is not the case in fact I turned twenty-one only thirty days ago and have already witnessed and been exposed to some off the after hour atrocities these "bars" commit...for instance, "hey are you guys (or gals) into not treating women with respect or even levregeing her certain "liberties" because they have a pretty face and one more pair of lips than us men...also are you into being a sexist piece of shit that sorts and organizes the dichotomy of gender and the respect one receives from the gender they come off as, not even what they identify with. People like this make me fucking sick man they're usually for the most part bald huge piles of shit that can't stand up off the stool they sit on while they are bouncing at frizzy's (140 Allen St. Buffalo, NY). I ran into a dirty lump of shit like this one outside of this said establishment after trying to go out drinking with my girlfriend and her two gal pals. When we got there he let my girlfriend and her other white friend walk in after giving the ol "one two up and down these girls like they could bring a crowd round" then when my black roommate tried to walk in he put his arm in front of her blocking the door and made her show ID...when it was my "turn" to go into the establishment I brought out my papers aka my birth certificate, this might sound corny (it is) but regardless it is a federally recognized document for obtaining federal benefits (like the benefit of enjoying the business of vendors that pay federal taxes), or joining the military, and even applying for a passport so I guess I can use this piece of paper for serving my country and going half way across the globe but I can't get into a bar with it after the bouncer just let in my 24 year old girl friend who looks like a dumb little 12 year old ...that's not ish though the ish is how many women has this guy pick and choose to let in with out id because of a pretty face when in fact it didn't matter if she had ID with her face or not in fact when a girl hands him a ID he prolly puts his thumb over the picture and glances are the "stats" and if he sees what he likes checks out the age and then memorizes the address, fucking pervert...I read all these articles about Buffalo being a millennial magnet however we can't maintain a positive club/bar/night environment...this isn't the first experience if had with poor security management at bars n shit the boys at thirsty buffalo told me to get out of the way because I was making a scene after I was directing traffic in front their bar in my socks after I ran out of my shoes after hearing a drunk driving accident...changing the last call time ain't gonna do a damn thing man you gotta promote a health party culture that is not choosing who comes in and out by a sexist mysogisnistic dirt bags." that is the raw unedited review I left at the bar known as Frizzy's (140 Allen St)...this is the kind of behavior that businesses are accepting. PLEASE HELP MY GOAL IS TO IMPEDE THE CASH FLOW OF THESE VENUES UNTIL THEY COLLAPSE IF YOU KNOW ANY OTHER PLACES THAT FAIL TO TREAT HUMANS CORRECTLY I WILL ATTACK THEIR CASH FLOW TO0 HELP START A GRASSROOTS MOVEMENT START A DISCUSSION ABOUT PARTY POLITICS

We, the citizens of the world community do not want or support a nuclear war.

"Nothing is an offence which does not amount to the infliction of... grievous hurt upon a person and which is done (d) by a husband for the purpose of correcting his wife."
-Section 55 (1) (d) of the Penal Code Act, Nigeria

At minimum, every fourth woman in Nigeria has experienced domestic violence.

Nigeria’s Penal Code allows this violence to be legal.

In Nigeria, domestic violence statistics are buried under layers of other data. Attempts to create and enforce laws to assist women suffering from domestic violence tend to be pushed away until they fade into the background. Rapes, acid attacks and fatal wife beatings still do not seem to be enough for people to recognize abuse and suppression of women and take action.

In a country where domestic violence towards women is still legal, full gender equality is a myth. Not only is physical violence socially acceptable towards women, but sexual, emotional and mental abuse are considered acceptable to ‘discipline’ a woman. Common forms of violence are rape, acid attacks, wife beating, and corporal punishment. When a woman is treated without respect like this, she begins to truly believe that she deserves to be treated like she is worthless.

We need to take action immediately to stop this abuse from being legally committed. In fact, this law is a violation of Nigeria’s own constitution. It is essential that we stand up to change these cruel views and actions towards women. By making domestic violence illegal, many citizens will realize how wrong domestic violence actually is. Women will be able to receive help and keep themselves safe from abusive spouses. Lives will be positively impacted, even saved. Help women stand up for themselves, and help stop domestic violence in Nigeria.

*Additionally, we found that these abusive problems were blamed on the country’s religion (ex. “Muslim-majority countries”, “Sikh population”, etc.) while in truth, religion is no excuse for these crimes and most of these religions are known for being very peaceful. The criminals are hiding behind their religion in a way, and religion is no excuse for beating your spouse.

9. Equal Benefits for Unwed Mothers

Unwed Mothers in Singapore are not getting enough support from Singapore Government.

Unwed Mothers are granted some benefits that Married Mothers have.

These are some benefits not granted for Unwed Mothers:
- Application for BTO flats below 35 years old under the Single Singapore Citizen Scheme.
- Entitlement to Baby Bonus as their children are not considered legitimate.
- Entitlement to Parenthood Tax Rebate

10. Close the Gender Gap NSW equal pay for all

The gender gap in Australia unfortunately is getting worse in NSW men are earning 20% more then women who are working full time with same or more qualifications.

It should be a basic right to earn equal amount of money but due to the discrimination that our society seems to still hold against women we are falling behind i believe a act should be enforced for New South Wales allowing women to receive equal pay and rights for the same work and should not be discriminated against just because of there gender instead awarded for there hard work and input into our workforce.

13. Free Food Distribution Center at the Antioch New England Campus

Citizen's Supply is trying to establish a free food distribution center at the Antioch New England Campus so that anyone in Keene and the surrounding area can come to get something to eat.

Food is a right not a privilege! By signing here I state that I am in full support of this mission and would like to see a free food distribution center at Antioch New England!

14. LGBT Equality

It has come to my attention that the Judicial Branch is exceeding their authority when it comes to the fourteenth Amendment.

The fourteenth Amendment clearly states that all people born or naturalized in the United States are due to equal protection under the law and no state shall deny any person this right. However, the Judicial Branch seems to think that LGBT citizens who were born or naturalized in the United States should not be protected under equally under the law as stated in the fourteenth Amendment.

16. No on Option F for HOB and MES

The Cape Henlopen school district will soon have 5 elementary schools:
H.O. Brittingham (HOB), Milton, DE
Milton Elementary School (MES), Milton, DE
Shields, Lewes, DE
Rehoboth, Rehoboth, DE
Love Creek (to be completed in 2017), Lewes, DE

The school board has identified problems in 4 of the schools:
Love Creek - too many students
Rehoboth - not enough students
HOB - too many low-income students
Shields - too many high-income students.

The school board, headed by Andy Lewis, has drafted its preferred solution, known as "Option F."

Option F will move students from what the school board refers to as "pockets of poverty" to the two schools located in Milton, DE.
Students in these "pockets" south of MES, but north and west of Love Creek will attend MES.
Students in these "pockets" north of HOB will attend MES.
Students around and in Milton will attend HOB, which will NOT change the problem of poverty at HOB that the board identified. This will make the student body of HOB and MES both above 45% impoverished.

What is wrong with a 40% + impoverished school?

1. When children of families who are impoverished, through no fault of their own or their parents, are all put together in one school (or in this case both of our schools) the teachers, who are equally wonderful at both schools, simply cannot do enough to make up the achievement gap, and all the students end up with lower performance and lower grades despite how good the teachers are and what the teachers do.

2. The poverty increases from there, because anyone with the economic means to do so, sends his or her child to another school, or relocates to a "better" neighborhood. Why should we care about this in Milton? Our chamber of commerce is growing. We have new businesses in town, which means new job opportunities and new construction. If our schools become something that middle-class families run from, our town, which is growing, could stop. And our children will be settled into a nice little disadvantaged bundle that the school board can simply ignore.

Why is a new school being built in Lewes?

Why are HOB and MES being overloaded with all the impoverished students?
Why isn't the school board looking for solutions that would turn the problem around, like turning HOB into a specialty magnet school, rather than simply shuffling the children around to suit the board's numbers game?

Why should your children, your town, the wonderful teachers at HOB and MES, your property values, your local growth, businesses, and jobs ALL have to take the hit for Cape Henlopen School Board?

Well, they are wrong about that. HOB parents and MES parents are not going to lay down for the school board to drive over us while they bus our kids away from rich people on the coast.

17. Support Target and their stand on inclusion and equality

As most have heard, The American Family Association, a conservative Christian group started a petition to boycott Target stores. The petition has over 700,000 signatures as of early Tuesday, April 26th.

Let's show Target our support and send a message that we appreciate their commitment to provide an inclusive environment for both their customers and employees.

18. From a Girl learning all about Life with a Ball at her Feet

Symbolism has never found more takers…As one of the world’s most influential people, Modi, has become the Prime Minister of one of the world’s most powerful, developing countries, India, the feminists have been waiting with bated breath, to know how successful have they been in their struggle. While I don't doubt the nobility in ruling party’s intent, I am forced to question… How has it been addressing the vulgar gender bias in fields which have been historically dominated by the XY?

I am a victim of that very gender bias albeit in a different arena.

At an age when most teenagers dream of leading the 'in' life, I spend my time thinking about how to get sponsorship to play football. Yes, football for me is synonymous with life. Correction… Football for me IS life!

Why is it that it’s the 21st century and we boast of parity, but it’s the same old stale wine in a brand new bottle; all on paper, all in words, but none visible to the naked eye? All aware in our hearts, both, the baby and the brutal.

Why are male sportsmen always looked up to? There are Messi and Ronaldo who are XY, but no one thinks of Carli Lloyd or Alex Morgan, who are XX, when looking up to football idols?

19. Equal rights for all Greek citizens

According to art. 1 of the Greek constitution, all governmental powers come from the people and exist because of the people. Art. 4 of the Greek constitution specifically states that all Greeks have the same rights, and art 120 states that the enforcement of the Greek constitution is at the end in the hands of the people.

Nonetheless, art 86 of the Greek constitution states that the members of the Greek government, if and when they commit a crime, can only be accused after a petition of at least 30 parliament members (i.e. members of the Greek government). This is not the case for the average Greek (i.e. you are not only to be accused after a petition from 30 of your family members).

Thus, the existence of art. 86 is a monstrosity and also is in direct violation of the aforementioned articles.

20. Political Equality at Texas State

Texas State University has decided to invite Opal Tometi, co-founder of the #BlackLivesMatter group, as a "Social Justice Speaker". The office of Student Diversity and Inclusion was the one to send the email out to the ENTIRE student body, faculty, and staff. My initial opposition was directed to them, to which I received a response of "Thank you for your feedback", so my next contacts were Mrs. Trauth, the university President, the Dean of Students office, and the office of Student Involvement. As of 48 hours after contacting them, I have yet to receive a response.

As much as I would like to prevent Opal Tometi from ever stepping foot on our campus, I fear it is too late. The only justice we can seek at this point is to have the university acknowledge our views and invite a conservative speaker for us, so as to "balance" the political resources they provide us.

It has also been brought to my attention that speakers like this are generally paid to come speak, and usually paid very well. There are so many aspects of this speakers coming to oppose, and I'm not sure where to rank the financial portion of it. What I do know though, is that the STUDENTS will be the ones paying for it, through our tuition, which I am NOT in favor of.

21. No More Blood Oil

Canada buys oil from countries with horrendous human rights records and violations. Why, when we have enough to be self sufficient and have been proven to have some of the world's cleanest environmental standards?

Did you know The title of ‘world’s dirtiest oil’ goes to Brass crude blend from Nigeria, where the uncontrolled release of methane during the oil extraction process generates upstream GHG emissions that are over four times higher than Canadian dilbit.” Its also the worlds biggest offender of female mutilation/Circumcision.

Saudi Arabia, one of the worst offenders of human rights in the world, has covered up their environmental disasters for years. Easy for a regime with total control over their media and closed to outside influence to do. The largest oil spill on record next to the BP in the Gulf of mexico was over 6 million Barrels spilled into the persian Gulf. In fact, the bodies of water adjacent to these middle east countries are known to be the most contaminated on earth. And everyone knows about the constant burning of wells around the region. Ignited by nations in constant war with each other over this black gold.

And Contrary to what the media tells you The ‘dirtiest oil in North America’ is not produced in Canada, but just outside Los Angeles, where the Placerita oil field generates about twice the level of upstream emissions as Canadian oilsands production. The US is also the 2nd worst country in the world for emissions next to China. How many wars have they funded and countries destabilized in their efforts to ascertain or control oil reserves.

By eliminating the purchase from these extremist countries we can solve so many problems. Not only in their countries, but our own. It will show the world what being Canadian really is. Remove the money from tyrannical regimes. Show strength in our belief of our charter, Unite Canada from coast to coast, and will boost our hurting economy.

22. Teach Intelligent Design alongside Evolution in Public Schoools

Evolution is taught in thousands of high schools all across the country. The United States is a diverse country with people who have many different views on how the world was created. These ideas could be due to religious reasons.

Intelligent Design is a theory that the world was created but not asserting who it was that did the creating.

In school students should be shown both sides of the argument so they can decide for themselves. This develops critical thinking skills. Their science education should not be one sided. When there are multiple views.

Students who don't support the theory of evolution could feel inferior to their peers when in class. That is why students who have different religious or personal beliefs should have the option of being taught Intelligent Design that doesn't contradict their beliefs.

23. DCA Warriors Cherishing All Children Equally 2016

KOD Lyons act for DCA Warriors in Campaign for Election 2016 for Children with Additional Needs

Following a consultation process involving its 8,000 members leading children’s advocacy group DCA Warriors in partnership with KOD Lyons have launched a policy document for its members for the 2016 General Election campaign. The document can be viewed below, and is an important grassroots response to the need for children’s rights to be a priority.

DCA Warriors – Cherishing All Children Equally 2016.

We ask those looking to be the next leaders of Ireland to honour the words written in the 1916 Proclamation which “declares its resolve to pursue the happiness and prosperity of the whole nation and of all its parts, cherishing all of the children of the nation equally” and that “no one who serves that cause will dishonour it by cowardice, inhumanity or rapine.”

The DCA Warriors was established in February 2012. We currently have over 8,000 members. The group gives information and support to parents of children with special needs [SN] and/or serious illness [SI] applying for Domiciliary Care Allowance, Carers Allowance, Disability Allowance and Carers Benefit.

We expanded our mission, and are now committed to ensuring all children in Ireland with special needs are given their right to a full education and other rights. Our children deserve to have their dreams realised of a future where they will be a productive member of our society.

Our Election campaign is focussed upon ensuring that the rights of children with special needs and those of their families are fully vindicated.

Our 8,000 plus members are asking election candidates to ensure the following policy commitments are implemented in the next Dáil. In addition individual members will have the facility to include a further two individual policy pledges they are seeking which reflects their own circumstances and concerns.

24. Yoga Community Petition: To replace the word “Warrior” with “Creator”

I have been doing yoga for about 12 years now. Because of yoga and other self-improvement experiences, my awareness levels are at the highest they’ve ever been. When people have heightened awareness they know thoughts, words, images and actions all have either positive (+) or negative (-) energies and rarely a neutral charge.

This is the reason politicians and much of our society use words with negative imagery like: fight, battle & war to elicit the most visceral emotional reactions, even when just debating each other. Instilling fear and anger is a primitive yet effective, natural technique to gain support for a cause. Because humans have been embroiled in conflict and war since our existence, we have been conditioned to perpetuate conflict and war. Thoughts, words, images and actions are what society’s use to continue the tradition of violence or create a new and more positive present & future.

Evolve 4 World Peace now calls upon the global yoga community to increase our own self-awareness by realizing one of the most used words of negative (-) imagery in many yoga classes is “Warrior”. There’s Warrior 1, 2, 3, humble etc. Even Peaceful Warrior is a contradiction. A person either creates peace or war. Just as it is impossible for mind to have 2 thoughts at the exact same time, so too is it impossible for peace and war to exist at the same place and time.

The imagery of a Warrior is usually associated with the glorification of war, death, weaponry and violence. The Sanskrit name of the pose, Virabhadrasana is name after the Hindi mythological warrior and horrifying mass murder, Virabhadra.

A greater awareness means we know thoughts, words, images and actions all create mental impressions on the human mind. A greater awareness means we have a choice of what those impressions are. We can choose the negative (-) impression of the word “Warrior” or we choose the positive (+) impression associated with our own albites to create a more peaceful, loving, inspirational, abundant, compassionate world: We choose to be a “Creator”.

This global yoga community petition is to replace the word “Warrior” with “Creator”, defined as a person or thing that brings something into existence.

As each yogi shares this awareness with others the ripple effect becomes global. That means other positive (+) words will fill our collective vocabulary much more often. Eckhart Tolle, author of “A New Earth” has said “yoga will be a great part of the awakening of humanity”. This new collective awareness in the yoga community will accelerate his prediction.

Then, even our world leaders and politicians will be speaking in terms of positivity and optimism. This is one component to Create world peace.

Love you all,
Evolve 4 World Peace

26. My Care

I want to introduce you all to a thought – simple idea born out of musing over the state of our society and our situation, and how we can improve our state as we delve deeper in the 21st century and leave something to look forward to for the coming generations.

How would you like to have funds available to you that won't cost you a penny? The funds I am talking about will be dedicated for the sole purpose of social welfare and the betterment of our society. These funds will come out of the total amount you pay as income taxes to the government. Imagine, a small amount of your taxes being available to you for making the world a better place. You can either donate the funds to any charity of your choice or even establish your own charitable organization to improve any aspect of your society, which you deem to be in need of development or relief.

My aim is to bring about a social change – a change that brings a paradigm shift in our outlook. It is quite apparent, from the present state that our society is in, that there is a crucial need to give care to our ever apathetic society.
This is an introductory attempt to start creating those necessary changes and with this I am introducing My Care to you! I want you to start reading the book with some idea as to what I wish to communicate to everyone and what you should expect. The book is available on Amazon and the link is on the website-

Petition Guide:

This campaign has always meant to be a global one and it is the wish of the author to ask the residents of each country who would like to support the My Care campaign in their own country to supply the addresses (in case of UK being; The House of Commons) of their own country and send it to my email.

The information provided will be used to create a petition similar to that of the UK. This way every participating country can have a petition connected to this link for voting.

The global petition is for the rest of residents living in countries where the implementation of My Care cannot take place at present, but want to show their support for the cause!

Please send your addressee information to:

27. Let Irish chairs speak their mind

It is often said " It is not the man above the chair, but the chair beneath the man." These words were often thrown around in light hearted conversations throughout my youth.

Never did I deem, that one day, not in my lifetime anyway, that chairs might actually have a say in how they want to be treated. It doesn't take much to simply ask a chair if he/she would like you to sit down. Simple. Common. Courtesy. All I want is equality. And that can never be too much to ask for.

28. Support Religious Equality at NSU College of Medicine

Currently the administration of the healthcare program at Nova Southeastern University doesn't view religious holidays as an excused absence. This states that if a person misses an exam due to a religious observance they will be penalized by only achieving a max score of a 70 on the make up exam.

If they miss a class due to religious observance you can get points deducted from the final grade due to the "unexcused absence" classification. The discrimination for religious belief at our school has quarantined religious life choices equivalent to dishonorable conduct.

Therefore, we hope to get this policy corrected.

29. Starbucks Should Stop Matching Financial Donations to Planned Parenthood

Undoubtedly, more videos are soon to be released. However, at the moment, we have three videos graphically detailing the illegal activities of Planned Parenthood.

Particularly, these videos showcase how the company will (illegally) perform an abortion in a such a way that the aborted fetus's body is more or less "fully intact". When an abortion results in a more fully intact body, it provides an incentive for PP to gain a financial profit from various procurement companies that will purchase the body at high costs.

Beyond merely ethical concerns, these recent revelations make it clear that the abortion industry has been making a profit in the trafficking of aborted fetuses. In the eyes of many Americas, this is immoral.

As Americans - a nation that recently declared all citizens equal in the eyes of the law in regards to marriage - we believe a double standard exists. How can one support marriage equality, but ignore the fact that a federally-funded organization has been selling the body parts of dead children?

We petition American citizens to rethink this hypocrisy. Also, we speak specifically to partners at Starbucks.
