Turkey

Yeşiluzumlu is a pretty agricultural, historical, tourist village a few kilometres from the town of Fethiye and the beach area of Calis, in Turkey.

Applications have been submitted to extend an existing quarry and build a cement and asphalt plants, overlooking Yesiluzumlu and other small farming communities.

Should this be allowed to happen the environmental effects will be colossal for the farming community, the protected olive groves and salamander lizards.
Bees, and other wildlife.

Potential health issues for many people living in the area.

We would like everyone who lives here, have family or holiday homes here, familiar with the area or just for their love of the beauty of Turkey to sign this petition to stop the raping of the forest trees with gaping ugly quarries which they are wanting to expand and the building of cement and asphalt factories.

We the undersigned, YesilUzumlu Environment Protection Group are requesting that Urantas withdraw their application and the licensing body does not approve this application.
