United States of America

According to the homicide rate of 2016, about one in every 235 Americans will be murdered by a firearm in their lifetime. A firearm can be classified into three types: handguns, rifles, and shotguns. Semi automatic firearms are guns that fire one bullet every time the trigger is pulled. Fully automatic firearms are guns that fire multiple bullets. In the past three decades, over 70 mass shootings have been recorded: 58 people were killed and 536 injured in Las Vegas(October 1, 2017), 49 people were killed and 58 injured in Orlando(June 12, 2016), 20 children killed between the ages of 6 and 7(Sandy Hook Elementary), 12 people killed and 58 injured in Aurora(July 10, 2012), and 13 people were killed in the Columbine Shooting(April 20, 1999).

We, the undersized, call the local, state, and federal legislators to implement lawful and impactful legislation to end the ongoing fight with gun violence. We call on Americans, who have the ability to spread accurate information and through technology, social media, the internet, etc to do so. The future of this country is dependent on this very sensitive issue and if actions are not taken right now, things will only get worse. Many tragedies have happened due to the lack of control over our countries gun violence. Children lying dead and alone in schools, teary eyed and worried mothers receiving the news via phone, families being broken.
Together, let us sign this petition and END GUN VIOLENCE IN THE UNITED STATES.
