Middlesbrough and the whole of Teesside face devastating cuts in jobs and services, which will affect workers and service users, shops and shoppers, schools and students, families, pensioners and claimants, and our communities across the board.
We, the undersigned, call on Middlesbrough Council to defer a "cost-cutting" budget, which they can legally do, while building local support for a vigorous campaign against cuts in jobs & services.
We also call on the Mayor of Middlesbrough Ray Mallon to demonstrate his public support to this policy.
