Bíó Paradís sýnir nýjar áhugaverðar kvikmyndir frá öllum heimshornum auk hverskyns eldri mynda erlendra sem innlendra, hýsir kvikmyndahátíðir og stendur fyrir fjölbreyttum kvikmyndatengdum viðburðum.
Það hefur verið mikill uppgangur hjá Bíó Paradís frá opnun 2010. Það hafði aldrei verið listrænt bíóhús á Íslandi áður en fagfélög í kvikmyndagerð stofnuðu þetta fyrsta menningarhús í miðbæ Reykjavíkur eftir að Regnboganum var lokað.

Bíó Paradís zostało otwarte w 2010 roku w sercu Reykjaviku i jest ukochanym i jedynym tego typu kinem, które jest domem dla sztuki i niezależnego kina.
Jest to kino, które wyświetla międzynarodowe filmy w tym oczywiście Polskie w oryginalnym języku z islandzkimi lub angielskimi napisami.
Na ekranach kina prezentowane są filmy dokumentalne, krótkie filmy animowane i eksperymentalne oraz niezależne produkcje.

Bíó Paradís open in 2010 is beloved and the only art and independent cinema house in the heart of Reykjavík.
Cinema which is screening international films in their original language with Icelandic or English subtitles. In the cinema, one can see special genre films, repertory cinema, documentaries, shorts, animation and experimental films.

Hjálpið okkur að bjarga Bíó Paradís!
Bíó Paradís býður upp á kvikmyndafræðslu fyrir öll skólastig, er heimili íslenskra kvikmyndagerðarmanna ásamt því að vera sýningarvettvangur fyrir Kvikmyndaskóla Íslands, íslenskar kvikmyndir í sinni breiðustu mynd og býður upp á kvikmyndamenningu frá öllum heimshornum, leggur ríka áherslu á sýningu á Evrópskum verðlaunakvikmyndum sem og að halda metnaðarfullar Alþjóðlegar kvikmyndahátíðar á borð við Stockfish og Alþjóðlega Barnakvikmyndahátíð í Reykjavík sem er sú fyrsta og eina sinnar tegundar. Svo mætti telja alla kvikmyndadagana t.a.m. þýska, pólska, rússneska og japanska kvikmyndadaga sem og Frönsku Kvikmyndahátíðina sem nú fagnar 20 ára afmæli.
Bíó Paradís er meðlimur í CICAE samtökum listrænna kvikmyndahúsa og Europa Cinemas samtakanna sem telja 1170 kvikmyndahús í 68 löndum.

Ta petycja ma uratować - Bió Paradis - jedyne artystyczne i niezależne kino znajdujące się w sercu Reykjaviku. Bió Paradis jest domem dla festiwali filmowych, kina niezależnego, a co ważne dla obcokrajowców, jest domem dla wszelkiego rodzaju międzynarodowych filmów, nie tylko dobrze znanych hollywoodzkich produkcji.
Dla nas, Polaków, jest to miejsce gdzie możemy oglądać polskie filmy na ekranach kina.
Bardzo możliwe jest, że z powodu problemów z lokalem kino zostanie zamknięte 1 maja.
Czy możemy zrobić coś?
Tak możemy!
Każdy może podpisać petycję i w ten sposób okazać wsparcie dla kina i wszystkich pracowników.

Save The Cinema Bió Paradis
This petition is to save - Bió Paradis - one and only artistic and independent cultural cinema in the heart of Reykjavik. Bió Paradis is home for film festivals, independent cinema and what is important for foreigners it is a home for all kind of international movies not only well known Hollywood productions.
For us, Poles, this is a home for polish movies and place to meet and experience polish cinematography.
The cinema will be closed at 1. Mai because of the problem with the building itself.
Can we do something to stop that?
