Preserving our Quality of Life
- Verde Valley Christian Church

Verde Valley Christian Church plans to develop a worship center in a quiet neighborhood where neither the roadways nor the area are appropriate for such heavy usage.
Their current plans call for a "Multi-purpose facility" seating 500, a lighted parking lot for 375 cars, a lighted ball field and proposed second worship building for an additional 1000 attendants.
We are in opposition of the planned development of a worship center by the Verde Valley Christian Church off of Old Hwy 279 and Tierra Serena. This facility will consist of a "Multi-Purpose" building with seating for 500, with plans for an additional building to seat 1000. There also will be a lighted ballpark and parking lot for an initial 375 cars.
We feel this huge facility will greatly impact the traffic on Camino Real and Old Hwy 279 in a negative way. The congestion it will create on Sundays alone with their 2 services and evening youth rock concerts will greatly affect the peaceful quiet of our neighborhoods and our ability to travel to and from our homes throughout the entire week. We feel that Camino Real and Old Hwy 279 are not suitable nor safe for such increased traffic. We also oppose any reconstruction of these roadways to accomodate the considerable increased traffic usage that would be created by the construction of this center.
