Everyone loves to ride a bike, especially in the great outdoors and in a pictures spot; like close to Perth’s beautiful Swan River.
If though you have a disability and require a specialized, awkward to carry, and difficult to transport bicycle, then cycling isn’t as easy and accessible as it should be. Finding ideal bike tracks to ride in Perth isn’t easy either.
The signed below support the building of an all abilities bicycle & go kart track that can adjoin and complement a nature playground being designed for Sandy Beach Reserve in Bassendean.
The track would be designed with an outside all abilities track, and also inside diverting ‘pump’ and ‘skills’ tracks. The playground would have a selection of disability adapted bikes and pedal go karts, kept safe and secure on site at the playground.
The bikes and go karts would be available to the public to hire on weekends. During weekdays the bikes and go karts would be especially available to persons with disabilities, and school groups.
