AS YOUR ARE READING THIS, PLEASE TAKE A MOMENT TO CONSIDER THE PARKING ISSUE THAT LAU HAS BEEN DEALING WITH FOR SOME TIME NOW. WITH THIS PETITION, YOU CAN BE PART OF THE SOLUTION. EACH YEAR WE STUDENTS PAY HUNDREDS OF DOLLARS FOR PARKING THAT IS LACKING AT TIMES TO SAY THE LEAST. IT SEEMS THAT WE ALMOST HAVE TO GET TO CAMPUS AT 6:30 OR 7 AM TO EVEN HAVE A CHANCE AT AN AVAILABLE SPOT. OUR MONEY SHOULD BE GOING TOWARDS CREATING MORE PARKING FOR THE STUDENTS. EACH DAY WE ALL LEAVE OUR HOMES ABOUT 1 HOUR BEFORE WE ARE DUE TO THIS PARKING PROBLEM. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE ! IF YOU LOOK AT THE BIG PICTURE, WE SHOULD NOT HAVE TO SACRIFICE TIME THAT COULD BE SPENT WORKING, OR STUDYING.
SIGNING THIS PETITION GETS US ON OUR WAY TO BEING IN CLASS ON TIME AND BEING ABLE TO SPEND FAR LESS TIME IN OUR CARS; BECAUSE AS WE ALL KNOW OUR TIME IS VERY VALUABLE.
We the students, future students, and alumni, require that something be done about the continuing parking problem for LAU-Byblos Campus. Create more parking spaces to solve this problem, and offer the shuttling system that provide pick-up points through LAU main street. This will be more convienient and cost effective than driving and searching for places to park near campus. The money we pay each semester should go forward solving this parking problem, and should be addressed as quickly as possible.
