Coach Dan Avansino has been working as Reno High School as a football coach, physical education coach, and special education teacher for over fifteen years. He has helped many students who have walked into Reno High School and helped to make them into the men and women they are today. He has been officially fired from his head football coach position on November 5th, 2018 for comments made during an interview on November 2nd, 2018 regarding the imbalance of the quality of facilities of the private catholic school Reno High School was playing against (link below). We believe that even though he made these comments, he should not be fired from his position and that it is too harsh of a reprimand.
