On October 14, the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters will host a debate for North Carolina Governor. They have not yet invited Steven DiFiore, the Libertarian candidate who will be on every North Carolina ballot. This choice is clearly damaging to participatory democracy. Please join us in helping persuade them to rethink their decision. Our goal is to have at least 1,000 signatures by the end of September.
We believe that every candidate who will be on the ballot for Governor of North Carolina should be in the October 14 debate, to represent the full range of North Carolina political thought and let voters decide which candidate represents them best. We call upon the North Carolina Association of Broadcasters to respect the voters’ right to make a fully-informed decision by inviting Steven DiFiore to participate in the October 14 debate.
