America has very important choices to make. Our elected officials are not informing Americans of legislature and in some cases not representing the majority.
Every day it becomes more difficult to make decisions due to unreliable media. Americans have less and less voice in the direction that our country is moving.
Americans should be well informed of pending legislature with the opportunity to voice concerns.
We the people make the following demands to our elected officials:
• Americans are not fully made aware of changes or proposals by our elected officials. A monthly summary should be available at all government offices of recent activity and all pending legislature. We the people place our trust in our officials but we have the right to know every and any new law or regulation that affects we the people.
• Changes that affect us should be discussed with us before being implemented. Elected officials do not have the right to alter or change our life without full disclosure. We the people demand that local meetings be held at least monthly to update citizens on discussed changes.
• We the people demand that government if unable to make decisions due to disagreements of parties allow the people to decide. Choices have to be made. Our nation is at a critical point and taking a break because of an election is not excusable. We the people placed our officials in office with the belief that no matter what political party, thoughtful and timely decisions will be made.
• We the people believe that any choices made should not be made to benefit a particular party, group, or culture. It is morally wrong for any government entity or official to assume they know what Americans believe. We believe that any official guilty of making choices that do not benefit majority of America should have consequences.
• We the people demand that honesty and truth should always be employed by elected officials. Any attempt to mislead Americans should have consequences.
• We the people demand that our government be forbidden to use media to sway voters. We demand that media be returned as an ally of the people, not the government. Journalism of any form should be truthful without bias. We demand that organizations that sole job are to inform the public should not be allowed to manipulate and report untruths. Americans rely on media for reference and it is our belief that any organization that intentionally distorts truths should be held accountable.
