Request changing Title 10 U.S. Code § 505 - Regular components: qualifications, term, grade involving paragraph (a) to the following.
(a) The Secretary concerned may accept original enlistments in the Regular Army, Regular Navy, Regular Air Force, Regular Marine Corps, or Regular Coast Guard, as the case may be, of qualified, effective, and able-bodied persons who are not less than TWENTY years of age ....
And request removal of the following.
However, no person under eighteen years of age may be originally enlisted without the written consent of his parent or guardian, if he has a parent or guardian entitled to his custody and control.

The legal drinking age is 21 years old. This law can be used against volunteer underage Soldiers. Example of the underage problem:
Volunteer Soldier Richard Halliday joined the US Army to serve his country on 23 April 2018. He was recruited at the age of 18 years old. He plays the piano, holds a black belt in Karate, CLEPed out of College Math and Foreign Language (12 credit hours) at the age of 16 years. He traveled the world and went to both German and Korean language schools. He invested 30k into Bitcoin. He joined the Army with the BEST intentions.
He was destroyed, given a Field Grade Article 15 with Maximum punishment (demoted 3 ranks, 45 days extra duty, 45 days restriction, 2 months 50% pay), plus required to perform extra duty in full Battle Rattle, plus required to perform extra duty with a breathing restrictive (hypoxia) face covering, for two very minor misconducts, one being underage drinking.
Now he is the first designated MISSING Soldier CONUS since 23 July 2020. He vanished from his Barracks room on Fort Bliss, El Paso Texas. Over 60 subpoenas and warrants detect no evidence of life.
