Help make Four Hero on December 1, a National Holiday to honor our police, firefighters, and Medical personnel. On December 1, 2009, four police officers were gunned down while having coffee at a Forze coffee shop in Lakewood. Sgt. Mark Renninger and Officers Ronald Owens, Tina Griswold and Greg Richards, were all killed from wounds received to the head, and neck. This tragic event has made an emotional impact on me, so much so that I would like to make their death into something more meaningful.

I’m asking for everyone to help in petitioning the President and Congress in making Four Hero a national holiday. The Four stands for the four fallen Lakewood Police, Hero stands for all emergency personnel out there; who put their lives on the line each and every day. The torment their families go through every day not knowing if their loved ones will return home safely, and yet, I feel they don’t receive enough gratitude compared to what they sacrifice for our safety, health and sense of protection.

By signing this petition to make Four Hero a national holiday, we are not only saying thanks to all the Emergency personnel but we are also paying respects to all those who have fallen.

A petition has been set up at gopetition.com. Please forward this information to all your friends and family. If you’re not comfortable signing up with gopetition.com here, feel free to copy this letter and send it to FourHeroHoliday@yahoo.com, with your first and last name including your email address as a validation. Our goal is to receive 5 million signing.
