One of the biggest problems faced by low-income students is the transportation from their homes to the teaching places, needing to travel long distances to the bus stops. In addition, another major inconvenience caused is the insufficiency of public transport lines that meet the increasing demand in Rondonópolis, since the city is expanding more and more and the population of the outlying neighborhoods are the most affected by this problem. Because of this insufficiency, students and workers from remote areas need to deal with bus capacity, delays and inconsistencies in the times of the lines harming and generating great stress to the population that depends on public transportation.
We students of IFMT, through this petition ask for help to pressure the city of Rondonópolis-MT, so that it creates a favorable environment for a new company to create more routes in our municipality. Or so that there is an incentive for the company that already operates in our city to create new routes with greater emphasis on teaching centers and neighborhoods far from the city. In this way, we hope to facilitate the routine not only of students like us, but of the entire Rondonopolitan population.
