There are a couple of beautiful local parks located in Dyersburg, TN but none of these parks are very dog friendly. Sure you could take your dog and walk around on the trail but wouldnt you rather take your dog to a more animal friendly park? One where you can allow your dog to roam around a Gated area with out a leash. Well that is exactly what we are trying to do.
We would love to have this park located across the street from Sleep Inn hotel away from the highway. The only street this park would be near is the end of a dead end street which poses hardly any threat to the animals.
We will have rules that will be established. please sign this petition and help us make this possible.
Being that the city of Dyersburg currently has no area for dogs to go, exercise, play and socialize, our goal in signing this petition is to establish a fenced in, off-leash dog park where well-behaved canine citizens can exercise in a clean, safe environment without endangering or annoying people, property or wildlife.
We, the citizens of the city and surrounding area would like to develop a beautiful, well maintained space open to all dog lovers and friends who are willing to uphold the park's rules and restrictions.
We are viewing this park as a community project, in partnership with the City of Dyersburg, designed to satisfy the needs of dog-owners and non-dog owners alike. Where, not only the dogs, but also the people of the city can socialize and enjoy yet another attraction within the city limits.
We also hope to encourage dog events like a Frisbee catch, or any other activities that the citizens of this city would like to see happen, which may help offset any of the costs involved with the upkeep of the area.
