My mom past away on the 13th April 2017, After all her finances where sorted and banks notified, we thought no more had to be done, then out of the blue, I received a letter dated 31st May 2017 from Barclaycard stating my mom owed £184.96 on her credit card. I immediately contacted them and told them mom had no outstanding debts, then to my disbelieve they told me the account was opened on the 8th May 2017, how could this be? i explained my mom had passed away the month before, so how could this be her??? Then it was agreed that the account had been opened Fraudulently. This was reported to the Police, who investigated and had a submission of guilt from the person who used the Credit Card. Fantastic they got a result!!!! Well far from it, due to the fact that the person who committed the fraud and paid back the Money to Barclaycard they no longer have a vested interest, so there fore will not pursue a conviction. So Basically if you pay back the Money, Barclaycard actually condone people to commit Credit Card Fraud
I`m asking from the Heart, that you sign this Petition to get Justice for My Mom and
secure a conviction on the person who committed the Fraud. They should not be allowed to get away with it. Barclaycard should be held Accountable for there actions.
