and to further back me up the below comment was just put uner my post on another site and I had not thought about on line buying but read rthe comment.
Yes this happened to me the other day with my online shopping when the whole site was buy one get one free. I wanted to buy a table and 2 chair set for my kids, Christmas chocolates, and pajamas for the kids. In the end they only gave me the chocolates half price because it was the cheapest. What a rip off. I've cancelled everything and went to Kmart.

Alan R J Moffitt Dspooky1nz the Warehouse slogan states where everyone get a bargain yet I and others can prove that thru the way they advertise specials deals so as I have mention and apparently also doing it online everyone is not getting a bargain therefore it is a incorrect statement and if I started a petition up for people to sign if they have been affected by lack of clarification of the buy 1 get one half price or buy one get one free then it will back up my complaint I intend to lodge with commerce department. I feel I can get 100,00 plus signatures I am only loding complaint re warehouse due to there slogan even though many other reatilers are using the same marketing ploy. Finance companies and banks are benifiting from these methods without realising it, In fact I will goggle how to start a petion and start one and hopefully as I believe they are in breach of the commerce Act and should face legal action. "We the undersigned, call upon the NZ commerce Department (Consumer affairs ) to lodge a formal investegation into The Warehouse NZ due to their mission Statement on all their buildings and majority of advertising by all means which reads "The Warehouse where everyone gets a bargin" as iit is not a true statement as can and has been proven by thousands .
In particular relating to their sales in store and online that read buy1 get 1 1/2 price or buy 1 get1 free as they do do clearly make the customer aware of how they actually charge for these specials if you purchase several items omn special at different prices thus they are benifiting financially themselves and as a result of people using credit cards to purchase the sales goods so are banks and finance companies by millions of dollars a year.

While this p[ractise is in fact useed by many NZ retailers I am only requesting this petition re the Warehouse as evidence proves their mission statement is incorrect and false therefore in breach of the fair Trading act.
