Many citizens in the Beaudesert Shire have expressed outrage at the method of culling of dingoes and wild dogs within this shire and other shires in Australia.
We acknowldge the need to cull certain animal populations, in order to protect the environment.
HOWEVER, We ask that the present method of culling the wild dog/dingo population of Australia, i.e. by poisoning (CURRENTLY 1080) be replaced by a painless, humane method of disposal of these animals.
We believe the Australian population has evolved to the point where it is no longer prepared to tolerate CRUELTY TO ANIMALS by inhumane methods of culling their populations, in order to protect the environment.
