1. Unblock Hejen Pize Qerej's Facebook account

Dear Facebook Team,

From 14th of October a friend of mine’s facebook account, Hejen Pize Qerej, his account has been closed. The below is his facebook account link:

I am as an active Facebook user and as a friend of ( Hejen Pize Qerej ) asking you to open Hejen’s account. I know him for a long time and as far as I know he is extremely nice person. He is animals and environment lover and a friend of them. He is also fighting against discrimination, execution, suppression/ oppression and prejudice.

I can only see one reason for blocking his Facebook account. There are people who are supportive of the tyranny regimes and their political parties in the Middle East. It is very sad to see Facebook that listen to those sort of people. By doing this, Facebook, indirectly supports those brutal regimes that try to terrorise, imprisoning and killing community activists, journalists, human right activists and Libertarian people. While you cannot support the suppressed people, please hand off their Facebook account and do not block them.

I am right now asking you to open Hejen Pize Qerej’s Facebook account, and hopping that Facebook continuo taking the right direction instead of being a tool on the hands of the tyranny regimes and their agents. I also hope Facebook find itself to be supportive of the rights of animals & human and environment

Yours sincerely,

While we provided Facebook all the necessary documents as before , but we still have not received their reply to our e-mail of 15/07/2016 . 3. Immediate & Unconditional Release of Zeinab Jalalian

Imagine being arrested for a crime you didn’t commit. Now imagine being convicted for that crime, and sentenced to death for allegations of which there is no evidence. It is a worst-case scenario which one cannot possibly prepare themselves for.

Now take this scenario and add the frightening prospect of awaiting your sentence in an Iranian prison, sent there by the Islamic Regime.

This is the true and frightening story of Zeinab Jalalian. Wrongly described as a political activist, she was arrested in 2007 and sentenced to death for being an alleged member of the banned Kurdish Free Life Party of Kurdistan. (PJAK) Although Iran’s Supreme Court later reduced her sentence to life imprisonment, this is of little comfort to the 34 year old woman who has languished in prison now for the past 9 years. Plagued with continual health problems, she now suffers an eye aliment, which requires surgery that she has been denied. Zeinab is slowly losing her eyesight with no help on the horizon.

Consequently, due to her lengthy imprisonment and denial of proper medical care she has experienced other serious health problems and faced challenges most of us would consider a living nightmare. Over the past few years, she has suffered internal bleeding, and intestinal infection related to injuries sustained during torture. Zeinab had reportedly been placed under intense physical and psychological pressure to confess in front of a camera for her alleged crimes, a common practice in Iran for politically motivated cases. Her requests for medical furlough have been denied.

The severe injustices this young woman has faced are glaring. After her initial incarceration, she was denied proper legal representation and her trial lasted only a few minutes. A worldwide movement campaigning for Ms Jalalian’s release has been instigated by several humanitarian groups pointing out irregularities in the judicial proceedings leading to her condemnation, cruel treatment and urgent need for medical attention. This effort has been assisted recently through a petition by women’s rights activists through a petition as recent as September of 2015. However in March of 2016, requests to send her to a hospital or furlough had been rejected.

Zeinab Jalalian has struggled her entire life for the most basic of human rights. Like many women living under Islamic oppression in Iran she has no say in this terrifying ordeal; we cannot let her spirit be crushed, we must fight for her right to let the truth be known.

We need to be a voice for this courageous young woman who desperately needs our help.

4. Stop military operations in Kurdistan by Turkey

I'm a doctor from Iraqi Kurdistan, raising my voice highly to condemn what is happening in Kurdistan of Turkey.

The situation consists of fierce attacks by the armed forces of Turkey on the villages and the cities of Kurdistan.

I call upon the owners of power and affairs in Turkey as well as the world to intervene and stop the operations of curfew, shelling and siege in the villages and cities of Kurdistan.

The killing of innocent men, women and children alongside the destruction of dwellings and homes characterizes everyday life. Prohibiting food and water, electricity and the means of treatment to the needing people in these areas is inhumane.

These military operations will not benefit anything, but further anger the people and drive them to revenge that will lead to increased and expanded violence. Peaceful dialogue is the only way to solve these problems in order to calm down the situation.

The concerned authorities must investigate complaints of the people and work to compensate those affected by these military operations.

5. HALT The Execution of Iranian Kurdish Political Prisoner Bakhtiar Memari

A local source told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran that Bakhtiar Memari, 35, a Marivan Kurdish citizen, who has been in prison since August 2010, is on death row on charges of "moharebeh (enmity with God) through membership in a Kurdish political party." Memari was officially informed of his sentence inside Sanandaj Prison on May 10, 2012.

According to the human rights source, security forces arrested Bakhtiar Memarimon on August 3, 2010 in Marivan and transferred him to the Sanandaj Intelligence Office. He was interrogated under torture for three weeks during which he was not allowed to visit or call his family.

In Bakhtiar Memari's defense bill, a copy of which the Campaign has been able to see, it is reflected that the court has not presented any evidence for Memari's accusations and that the ruling was entirely based on Bakhtiar Memari's confessions, which Memari said in court were extracted from him under pressure and through brutal beating and injuries by his interrogators. Bakhtiar Memari repeatedly denied his charges during the trial process.

A source close to the family of Bakhtiar Memari has stated that Bakhtiar Memari has been additionally accused of murdering two individuals based on orders from a British intelligence organization, charges which Memari repeatedly denied in court. The court has not produced any evidence, witnesses, or weapons that could substantiate or support these accusations, solely basing the charges on Bakhtiar Memari's confessions extracted under duress, which were videotaped and broadcasted on PressTV.

"After about three months, Sanandaj Intelligence Office forces took a handcuffed and footcuffed Bakhtiar Memari, along with a camera crew, to his father's home, where he was allowed to visit with his wife and children. The forces then said that because this was his last visit with his family. The intelligence forces then took Memari to the homes of two Krudish citizens who had been murdered some time before, introduced him as their murderer, and videotaped the visit. Subsequently, PressTV aired the recording in its Iran Today segment. In January 2012, Bakhtiar Memari was additionally sentenced to death for murder, based on Qisas Law."

Bakhtiar Memari is currently on death row inside Sanandaj Central Prison. He is allowed to visit with his family once a month.

Meanwhile, more than 27 Sunni Kurd prisoners are on the death row on the charge of Moharebeh, propaganda against the regime and acting against national security in Rajai Shahr prison as the reports mentioned. Six Kurdish political prisoners were hanged at dawn on March 4, 2015.

7. Justice for the Yezidi women captured by IS militants

What has happened to those women?

On 2 August, the IS attacked Sinjar and its surrounding areas, inhabited for more than 4000 years by peaceful Yezidi community.

We have seen long columns of women, men and children fleeing their homeland, trapped in barren Sinjar Mount without basic necessities and vital supplies and facing death.

We have become witnesses to these atrocities, but an equally horrendous crime has gone largely unreported by the international and mainstream media: the abduction of women, their rape and sexual slavery.

According to an Iraqi lawmaker of Yezidi origin Vian Dakhil, who addressed the Iraqi parliament last week, with tears in her eyes, “IS militants have abducted five hundred Yezidis women”. Later the Iraqi Human Rights Ministry indicated that families of the captives had contacted them to report the abduction of their womenfolk.

On 6 August, a spokesman for the Iraqi Red Cross, Muhammad al-Khuza’ee, stated that the Yezidi and Christian women “were taken as spoils of war and exposed at a market for sale”. The women were reportedly subjected to sexual assault, gang rape and sexual slavery. There have been reports of families throwing their children from the mountain to protect them from falling into the hands of the jihadists.

In the context of the Middle East in general and Iraqi as well as Kurdish communities in particular, the survivors face more dramatic consequences, because women’s bodies and sexuality embody family/collective honour. They risk murder at the hands of male members of their family and the community to preserve the group’s collective honour. If the women fall pregnant, their babies also risk death. Such violence, especially rape, can also be detrimental to perpetrating communities in the longer term; the anger desire for revenge it generates can last for generations.

Abduction and sexual violence in conflict are crimes against humanity and have been recognised by the UN Security Council as a threat to world peace and security. Recognition came when the UN adopted Resolution 1820 in June 2008. These crimes are not committed against individual women, but are used as a tactic of war and that requires international mobilization at state and organizational levels.

8. Imminent Humanitarian Crisis in Kobani-Syria

Since 1950s consecutive governments in Syria including the current regime have been systematically violating human rights and committing ethnic cleansing, humiliating and discriminatory measures against Kurds. Under the Ba’ath’s rule, Syrian authorities continued to repress Kurdish political and cultural rights, including arbitrarily revoking thousands of citizenship, restricting the use of the Kurdish language, banning Kurdish-language publications, arbitrarily arresting activists, issuing travel bans, abusing detainees, holding unfair trials, restricting property ownership and banning demonstrations for Kurdish rights, cultural celebrations, and commemorative events.

Following the uprising in Syria and the vicious civil war, which steeped the entire country into bloodshed, Kurds have established their own political entity in the north and northeastern parts of the country to protect people and civilian lives amid imbroglio and the insecure condition of the region. Although spared much of the fighting in other parts of Syria, civilians in the three predominantly Kurdish areas have been victims of ongoing human rights and humanitarian law violations. The Kurdish autonomous region of three cantons, including Afrin, Ain al-Arab (Kobani) and Jazira, was brutally targeted and attacked from the onset by fanatic Islamist armed groups in the area. The constant attacks led tens of thousands of Kurdish families to flee their home and seek refuge in Turkey and the Kurdish region in Iraq.

9. Reverse Prison Sentence of Iranian Kurdish Author Alireza Sepahi Laeen

Alireza Sepahi Laeen is an Iranian Kurdish author and poet, born on July 30, 1972. He was arrested near Mashhad in a raid on his home 11 Feb 2012 and held in Vakilabad prison for more than 6 months without charge. 05 Aug 2012 he was released from prison pending trial.

On April 12, 2014 it was announced that he had been sentenced to 11 months in prison by the Revolutionary Court in Mashhad.

Prior to his 2012 arrest, he was also arrested on 30th of July 2011 at 1.30 AM by armed plain-clothed members of the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) who stormed his house.

Alireza seriously suffers from diabetes, is in mortal danger without his daily medication. There is grave concern for his health should this prison sentence begin, in light of the Islamic Republic of Iran's systematic and illegal withholding of needed medical care for prisoners of conscience.

His only "crime" is his commitment to the Kurdish language and culture. Kurds and several other minorities are discriminated and persecuted in the multi-ethnic state.

Ali-Reza is a renowned Kurdish writer who published more than twelve books. He writes in Farsi." the Persian language in Iran." and Kurdish. They described him as a "cultural" activists. Ali-Reza was born on 22nd of December 1971 in the Kurdish village Sengdiwar in the province of Khorasan, which in located in the north-eastern Iran. Prior to his abduction, he and his family lived in Ghasem-Abad " a suburb of Mashhad, the capital of Razavi Khorasan " and worked in the public relations department of the Ferdowsi University of Mashhad.

10. Free Iranian Kurdish Labor Activists Afshin Medimi and Mehrdar Sabori

Two Iranian Kurdish labor activists, Afshin Nedimi and Mehrdar Sabori, visited Iraqi Kurdistan in October 2013. Kurdish labor organizations state that both men mysteriously disappeared when they returned to Iranian Kurdistan from Iraqi Kurdistan.

It became clear on November 18 that Iran’s intelligence agency had arrested the two labor activists. The two men were members of a Kurdish labor organization, visited Iraqi Kurdistan to find work.

Kurdish cultural, political, human rights and other activists are singled out by the Intelligence Ministry, Revolutionary Guards and other repressive organs of the Islamic Republic of Iran for especially harsh persecutions, including imprisonment, torture, and death sentences after flagrantly unfair trials.

11. STOP The Execution of Iranian Kurd Politcal Prisoner Mohammad Abdullahi!

Mohammad Abdullahi who has been charged on collaboration with Komala party, has been sentenced to execution by branch 1 of Mahabad revolutionary court.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency in Iran (HRANA), this political prisoner who was arrested in 2010 in Mahabad, has been tortured severely during his interrogation sessions.

Due to the severity of the torture, his leg and hand were broken. After suffering these brutal injuries, he was further tortured by deliberate (and illegal) medical neglect, as a result of which his leg bone realigned crookedly.

Evidently some of his teeth have been broken in the course of torture and this has affected his digestive system in the past three years.

It is worth noting he is the brother of Mohammad Amin Abdullahi, another political prisoner. After being summoned to court eleven times, of his original sentence of imprisonment was changed in early October 2013 to a death sentenceon charges of "enmity against God" (mohabareh) through membership in Komala party.

Apparently he was deprived of access to lawyer in all of his trial sessions.

One of his fellow prisoners testified: said “Mohammad has not given any confessions of guilt during the course of theinterrogations, and that is why trial was held eleven times. And still, afterall of that, they delivered the news of his death sentence to him verbally in prison.”

13. Free Kurdish Political Prisoner Ali Ahmad Soleiman, Sentenced to die in Iran

Recently the supreme court has confirmed the death verdict of Ali Ahmad Soleiman the kurdish political prisoner of Oroumiyeh on charge of premeditated murder.

Human Rights observers monitoring this case over the years (Mr. Soleiman was arrested in 2005) have raised concerns that these murder charges lack evidence and were in fact concocted by the Western Azerbaijan Intelligence Ministry along with the Revolutionary Guards. (Seemore background on these charges below).

One of this prisoner’s relatives told HRANA correspondent “Ali Ahmad Soleiman who was sentenced to death by branch 5 of Oroumiyeh criminal court has been informed that his verdict has been confirmed by the supreme court as well.”

First Ali Ahmad Soleiman was sentenced to five years imprisonment on charge of membership and collaboration with a Kurdish political party. Despite already serving five full years imprisonment the prison authorities kept him in prison and also last year he was sentenced to one more year imprisonment on charge of being in touch with UN Special Rapporteur for Human Rights in Iran Dr. Ahmad Shaheed.

A source close to Ali Ahmad Soleiman told HRANA “The trial in accusation of murder was without his confession, neither mock murder scene nor the other formal process steps. The issued verdict was based on the pressure of the intelligence office on judiciary department and there is no rational reasoning in the supreme court to approve the accusation and confirm the verdict.”

An Orumiyeh Penal Court found a Kurdish political prisoner guilty of murdering two Revolutionary Guards members, though no evidence, witnesses, nor confessions were presented in the case, a local activist said.

Branch 12 of Orumiyeh Penal Court sentenced Soleiman to qisas (proportional retribution, to be requested by the victim’s next-of-kin, for a crime) for one of the deaths, and diyeh (“blood money” paid to the victim’s next-of-kin) for the other. The two guards were killed during local entanglements with the Party of Free Life of Kurdistan (PJAK).

According to the local human rights activist, who has been following Soleiman’s case for many years, the murder charges against him were created by the Western Azerbaijan Province Intelligence Ministry and the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC)’s Intelligence Unit. Ali Ahmad Soleiman is a Kurdish citizen of Iraqi Kurdistan. Security forces arrested him on November 17, 2005, in the Targavar border region near Orumiyeh and transferred him to the Orumiyeh Intelligence Office’s Detention Center, where he was interrogated on charges of membership in PJAK. Soleiman was severely beaten during these interrogations, the activist said.

When he was transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison his charges remained “membership in PJAK,” but after several months of detention, the IRGC Intelligence Unit contacted the families of two local IRGC members who had been killed in a confrontation with PJAK forces, and asked them to press charges against this political prisoner in the cases of their loved ones. After the families filed suit against Ali Ahmad Soleiman, he was transferred to the Orumiyeh Police Investigation Unit Detention Center, where he was severely tortured during interrogations, but he did not confess to the murders.

“The political prisoner was summoned repeatedly over the years and interrogated about the murders, but in the absence of witnesses and the suspect’s confessions, the case remained in a limbo. It had neither a ruling, nor was it closed,” said the source.

Ali Ahmad Soleiman had been sentenced in 2006 to five years in prison on charges of “membership in PJAK,” and to six months in prison for “illegal entry into the country.”

“Though Ali Ahmad Soleiman completed his prison term in November 2011, the Intelligence Ministry has not allowed his release. He was summoned to court three times in February. The Orumiyeh Prosecutor’s Office told Soleiman that they did not think his five-year prison sentence was sufficient for him and that they have requested another trial for him. He was again summoned to the Orumiyeh Revolutionary Court and was sentenced to one year in prison on charges of ‘contacting Kurdish media abroad and human rights organizations, specifically the office of the Special Rapporteur, from inside the prison.’ He was summoned a third time to the Penal Court and was put on trial for the murders of the two IRGC members,” the source told the Campaign.

“After Hossein Khezri, a cellmate of Soleiman’s, was executed in Orumiyeh Prison in 2011, [Soleiman] and several other political prisoners were transferred to the Intelligence Office Detention Center on charges of ‘participating in the prison strike’ and ‘contact with foreign media,’ in June 2011, he was sentenced to six months in prison on charges of ‘contact with foreign media,’ and ‘propaganda against the regime.’ This prisoner [Soleiman] was once again transferred to Orumiyeh Intelligence Office Detention Center on October 11, 2012, along with four Kurdish political prisoners by the names of Ahmad Tamouee, Yousef Kakeh Meimi, Jahangir Badouzadeh, and Mostafa Ali Ahmad. The group was interrogated for two months on charges of ‘contact with human rights organizations and specifically the office of the UN Special Rapporteur,’ and ‘contact with Kurdish-language media abroad’ from inside the prison, and were subjected to psychological and/or physical torture inside solitary cells before they were all transferred to Orumiyeh Central Prison,” said the source.

According to the source, the reason the families of the two IRGC provided to the court for Soleiman’s involvement in the case was that Soleiman was present in the region in 2005, and so is aware of the identities of the murderers; therefore he must introduce the culprits or pay diyeh (blood money) to the families. Soleiman was informed last month that the court sentenced him to payment of diyeh to the family of one of the IRGC members, and qisas (retribution to requested by the victim’s family) for the other one.

The source said that Ali Ahmad Soleiman objected to the sentence, but the Intelligence Ministry threatened his lawyer, and the lawyer refused to write his appeal request. Soleiman then wrote his own appeal request from prison. The court issued its ruling based solely on a report provided by the Intelligence Ministry and the IRGC’s Intelligence Unit, in the absence of any evidence, confessions, or witnesses.

14. Free Iranian Kurdish Prisoner of Conscience Afshin Sohrabzadeh, LIFE IN DANGER THROUGH MEDICAL NEGLECT

URGENT UPDATE MAY 11, 2016 -- KURDISH-IRANIAN PRISONER OF CONSCIENCE AFSHIN SOHRABZADEH IS DYING OF CANCER...DUE TO MEDICAL NEGLECT! HRANA Human Rights News Agency -- According to documents received by HRANA, prison authorities confirmed that Afshin Sohrabzadeh, political prisoner, is diagnosed with colon cancer. The head of the prison has clearly stated that Afshin Sohrabzadeh came close to dying at least once. He emphasized the importance of transfering Afshin Sohrabzadeh to a hospital (AS IS IN FACT REQUIRED UNDER ARTICLES 102, 103 OF THE IRANIAN PRISON CODE) and also asked that Afshin Sohrabzadeh be allowed to serve the rest of his sentence in a bigger and better-equipped prison. Meanwhile this prisoner needs financial support from Iranians for the continuation of his medical treatment.

The head of Minab Prison has confirmed his disease and emphasized that he needed to be hospitalized for proper medical treatment in Hormozgan province. However, despite the dangerous condition of this prisoner, he is still in limbo and without medical treatment in Minab prison.

Mr. Sohrabzadeh had started a hunger strike and had sewn his lips, to protest the rejection of medical furlough requests, on April 11. He currently has breathing problems and internal bleeding. Considering the progress of his disease, he is getting closer to death every day.

He weighs 40 kg and his condition is getting worse, but despite the recommendations of physicians, judicial authorities and the Minab prosecutor continue to prevent him from being transferred to a hospital.

Afshin Sohrabzadeh, due to not being covered by insurance and lack of affordability, is in need of financial support of Iranians. You can send your financial helps to his father’s bank account:

Acount holder: Behrooz Sohrabzadeh

BankName: Melli Bank

Card Number: 6037997109402264

It must be mentioned that Amnesty International issued a statement urging a medical review of his case.

HRANA had reported earlier that despite his family’s follow-up after the early summer last year and paying 40 million IRR, the prisoner who had been transferred to Evin prison for medical treatment, after a few months and without any proper treatment was returned to Minab prison due to the high cost of the treatment (about 700 million IRR) and the inability of his family in paying this amount. Returning the prisoner to his former prison cost his family 10 million and 200 thousand IRR.

According to the close relatives of this prisoner, Mr. Sohrabzadeh was beaten during interrogation sessions by the intelligence officers of Kamyaran which led to the rupture of the hernia and a broken nose and problems of the bladder area, so that he he had to be admitted in two ten-day periods in Sanandaj hospital.

Afshin Sohrabzadeh underwent an intestinal surgery last year which was unsuccessful and led to internal bleeding.

Last year his family offered a deposit of 2 billion IRR to pay for medical furlough, which met with the rejection of Minab prison. They also tried to request a leave for Afshin Sohrabzadeh again this year by putting off a deed, which faced again the rejection of authorities in Minab prison.

It should be noted despite the high cost of the treatment and medication and the inability of his family to afford it, the prisoner because of confiscation of his identification documents at the time of arrest, is deprived of having the health insurance.

Kamyaran Intelligence Office forces arrested Afshin Sohrabzadeh, a 23-year-old resident of Kermanshah, on the road from Sanandaj to Qazvin on June 8, 2010. Later, Branch Two of Sanandaj Revolutionary Court convicted him of moharebeh (enmity with God) through membership in a Kurdish political party, and sentenced him to 25 years in exile at Minab Prison.

The case was forwarded to the Supreme Court after his lawyer appealed the ruling, but Afshin Sohrabzadeh was transferred to Minab before the Supreme Court could review his sentence. He was informed later while at Minab Prison that the Supreme Leader had upheld his sentence.

In April, Afshin Sohrabzadeh was detained inside Minab Prison’s Quarantine Ward for two months, following an argument with prison forces.

Afshin Sohrabzadeh, a young Kurdish prisoner at Minab Prison, attempted suicide on Wednesday, July 3, in protest of his exile and what he called the “deplorable conditions” of the facility, a local source told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran. The source, a human rights activist, told the Campaign that Sohrabzadeh, sentenced to 25 years in exile at Minab Prison by the Sanandaj Revolutionary Court, attempted suicide by “swallowing broken light bulb glass” and “cutting his veins with a sharp object.”

After the prisoner was transferred to the prison infirmary, due to the facility’s limitations and the prisoner’s critical condition, he was transferred to a Minab hospital where his stomach was pumped. As
his hospitalization required Prosecutor’s orders, he was returned to Minab Prison, was again transferred from the prison to a hospital outside to pump his stomach, and again returned to prison a few hours later. The human rights activist added that despite the prisoner’s need for hospitalization, prison authorities returned Sohrabzadeh to his ward.

Iranian-Kurdish Prisoner on hunger strike

Mon, 04/30/2012

Ali Moradi, an Iranian-Kurdish prisoner, has sewn his lips together as part of a hunger strike he’s been on since April 4 in Bandar Abbas Prison in southern Iran, Moradi’s family reports.

Zamaneh has been informed that Moradi began his hunger strike to protest his “illegal transfer” to Bandar Abbas Prison from Minab.

The report indicates that Moradi has been transferred to solitary confinement and is in “critical condition.”

Moradi was arrested in 2004 in a Kurdish village near Marivan and sentenced to 30 years in jail and exile to Minab Prison for the charge of “enmity against God” due to his membership in a Kurdish dissident group.

The International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran has quoted a local source saying that last February, Moradi reportedly spoke to one of the national prison inspectors and reported shortcomings in the medical and hygienic facilities of the prison.

According to the Campaign report, Moradi was beaten in prison following his talk with the inspector and transferred to solitary confinement. After 15 days, in a reportedly illegal procedure, he was then exiled to Bandar Abbas Prison.

It is said that Moradi and several of his inmates have protested on numerous occasions for being held in the general section of the prison rather than in a special ward for political prisoners.

19. Prosecute Iraqi genocide charges in the International courts without delay

Our understanding was the genocide perpetrators in Iraq could be brought before an international court, so as the court verdicts could have shaped an international dimension and the offenses were approved according to the international standards.

Besides, the charges could have been implemented as emerged. Confined criminals will be a proper way to bring the big crimes to a halt.

During July 2007 the Iraqi high tribunal of crimes decided to detain and act against 423 of those accused, later on the Iraqi tribunal on August 10 2010 in a new outcome distributed arrest warrants to 258 individuals living in Kurdistan region, although some of the accused are now living in: Germany, Austria, Swiss, Holland, Briton…etc.

Bizler aşağıda isimler bulunan; Kürd şahsiyetleri, aydınları, kurumları,demokratik kitle örgütleri, demokrat-insanlıktan yana ve yine sanal alandaki siteler, sosyal paylaşım sayfaları-grupları olarak; farklı renklere, inanç ve kültürlere böylesi pervasız saldırıları nefretle kınıyor ve diyoruz ki;

Güneştir ateştir yüzümüz, Aydınlıktır yönümüz..
Senin gibi karanlıkları, kötülükleri temsil etmiyoruz.
Bizleri aşağı, kendini de üst gören başbakanı insan olmaya çağırıyoruz.

Bizim kökümüz belli Zerdüştlükten geldik, ya siz BAŞBAKAN?

Devşirilmiş bir “Başbakan” ın kadim geçmişimize küfretmesine izin vermiyoruz.

The Islamic republic of Iran has for 33 years practised a constitution that ethnically discriminates against the Kurdish minorities in the country.

The govern budget is unfairly divided, leaving very little to the Kurdish areas.

The government deliberately denies development in these areas. The woods in the border areas have been burned down to remove the livelihoods of the Kurdish people.

This is a tempt to force the Kurds to be addicted and loyal towards the Islamic regime. The work conditions are hard and leaves few options for survival for the Kurdish minority. Many choose to make their own way of living by carrying goods across the border from Iraq. When the Iranian border soldiers discovers them, they immediately executes them.

The border soldiers acts in this matter as soldiers, police, justice and executioner. They act without knowing what the carriers are actually bringing on their backs, and if it in fact is illegal at all. If they are bringing something illegal, the punishment is supposed to fit the crime. The goods they transport are different types. According to Iranian law, It is illegal to import goods that is seen as a threat against the govern economy or the countries own production.

It is also forbidden to import goods that is forbidden by the Islamic law. Most of the goods are in fact neither a threat against the government, the productions in the country or illegal against the Islamic law. So in most cases these carriers are in fact killed as innocent people, not guilty of any crime.

The carriers we talk about in this text is familiar with the Iranian system and rules. Nevertheless they are still taking this inhuman risk to survive, and live a respected life as a citizen in the Islamic republic if Iran.

22. End killing the Kurdish carriers

“Stop killing and massacring Kurdish Porters”.

As everybody know that these kinds of news have been broadcasted by the news-broadcasts more than ten and hundred times. Islamic republic of Iran violates and savages Kurdish rights in east of Kurdistan; Kurdish citizens there do not have right of explanation and do not have right to work freely as the other citizens do in Iran, and they use brutality to kill and eradicate feeling of Kurdish people. They show no mercy toward the Kurds in murdering them; particularly they point their guns towards the Kurdish businessmen and carriers or porters on the borders, they attack them mercilessly and roughly. This regime pours bullets on the Kurdish people’s head instead of hospitality.

Hundreds of men in order to supply food for their families, children and relatives have been killed by their bloody hands. They wanted to intimidate and frighten other places by killing husbands, wives, brothers and sisters of poor citizens in Iran. Many families have been orphaned by their cruel and disgust conducts.

Only during a couple of weeks, five persons have been murdered by the Iranian forces hardly; they kill people for no reason but to keep their places and sovereignty appetite. There is no role there. Those people that have been killed were totally innocent, coz if they judged by the court fairly they would not be punished to spend their lives even in the penitentiaries.

Unfortunately people of Kurdistan have only two ways to provide and guarantee a better life for themselves and their families, either they must go to the Persian and Turkish’s inhabitant areas to do hard and tough works in the bakeries with a little money which is insufficient to provide their lives or they resort to porterage on the borders to carry and convey goods from one place to another. They know that paralysis and death will wait them and they know that they are in danger; they know that they are at stake but they do it in order to live their lives as a human.

Another way to continue their lives is some people resort to spy on p[p0each other in another word some of them will be hired by the government to spy on the others. But this kind of job is very hard to be accepted by the conscious people or by those who have spirit of philanthropy.

The issue of porterage springs from having bad and barren economy in Kurdish inhabitance area, especially those who live on the borders. Poverty and starving have made the heads of the families to risk everything like ambush, attacking them by the Iranian forces, and implanted mines or natural events in order to obtain a better life for their families. Economic situation in part of Kurdistan is not good, because the regime wants to keep economy of Kurdistan at the back.

23. Repeal Harsh Sentence For Kurdish Iranian Cleric Mamosta Sedigh Hasani

Mamosta Sedigh Hasani has been sentenced to 14 years in prison by the first branch of the Revolutionary Court in Saghez, Kurdistan Province.

In an interview with Mukrian News Agency, Khalil Bahramian, Mamosta Sedigh Hasani’s attorney, reported the news of the verdict and stated, “Mamosta Hasani was arrested a while ago in Saghez and has been sentenced by this city’s Revolutionary Court to 14 years in prison on charges of collaborating with the opposition parties and concealing a weapon.”

Khalil Bahramian added, “As the attorney handling this case, I have objected to the court’s ruling, and the case has been referred to the Kurdistan’s Appeals Court. In the briefing submitted to the appeals court, I have stated that facts of this case together with legal reasoning don’t support the verdict. The truth is that Mamosta Sedigh Hasani was easily deceived by another individual whose party affiliations were not known by my client. This person placed a gun with two rounds of clips in my client’s barn in the village where Mamosta Sedigh Hasani lives. This weapon has neither been fired nor are any bullets missing from either clip.”

At the end, Khalil Bahramian mentioned, “The second reason for the appeal is that my client has no connections or party affiliations with the opposition groups. He is merely a farmer and a cleric. Perhaps the only charge against him could be the concealment of a weapon. For this crime, the punishment is light and doesn’t exceed one year in prison.”

Mamosta Sedigh Hasani is currently being held in Saghez’s central prison.

24. Stop the killing of Kurdish Soldiers in Syria

During the last 6 years more than 37 Kurdish soldiers have been killed in the Syrian barracks by torture and shot in the head. We appeal to you that you come against these inhuman actions.

25. Habibollah Golparipour (حبیب الله گلپری پور)

Your Excellency, Honorable Ban Ki Moon,

The Iranian regime is continuing its unjust and unprecedented crime against Kurdish political Activists and ready to yet commit another crime!! After recent execution of Farzad Kamangar, Shirin Alem Holy, Ali Heidarian , Farhad Vekili, Mehdi Islamian , the regime now punished Habibollah Golparipour with death sentence and determined to take her life away.

I am writing to you today because I am extremely concerned about the current situation of Mr Habibollah Golparipour (حبیب الله گلپری پور), a 27 years old Kurdish political prisoner who was sentenced to death on November 26, 2009.

Habibollah Golparipour, a native of Sanandaj, was sentenced to death by the Revolutionary Court in the Kurdish city of Mahabad. Golparipour, who had been accused of propaganda activities and membership in an anti-regime group, was tried on Moharebeh charges. The court cited articles 186 & 190 of the Islamic Penal law for its decision.

During a recent meeting, the case judge threatened Golparipour, telling him that his death sentence would be carried out if he did not end his hunger strike.
In response to the judge’s threats, the Kurdish activist said, “I know that I will be executed soon; therefore, I will end my life myself in order to shame you, even after my death.”

Golparipour, who has been on hunger strike since May 12, is reportedly in a critical condition. His lawyer, Ehsan Mojtavi, has objected Golparipour’s death sentence verdict but has yet to receive a response to his appeal.

We are asking you to please do not remain silent during these critical days as the Islamic regime will not hesitate taking this young activist’s life!

Thank you in advance for all your hard work.

26. BBC should apologise to the non-Persian communities in Iran

On Sunday 21 February BBC Persian Television, on the occasion of “The International Mother Language Day” dedicated “Nobat-e Shoma”, its most popular programme to the current state of non-official (vernacular) languages in Iran and Afghanistan.

The BBC presenter as well as its official website chose to use the term “Local” instead of vernacular or non-official languages thus announcing the programme: “How Is the State Of Local Languages in Your Country?”

We are confident that the management of the BBC would not wish to be party to this injustice. We therefore feel that we are justified to ask them to issue a public statement to acknowledge their error and perhaps to apologies to the non-Persian communities in Iran.

27. Kurmanji Must Live!

In April of 2008 a petition, by a group of 53 self-declared intellectuals, was generated in support of imposing Sorani as the medium in the education system while banning Kurmanji (Kurdish dialect from Bahdinan). In support of the idea, the former Minister of Education, Dr. Dilshad Abdulrahman, attempted to implement this policy by banning Kurmanji from the education system.

To carry on the plan and impose Sorani as the only official language, a conference was held in late December of 2009 by the Kurdistan Language Academy, in Hewler, headed by Dr. Shafiq Qazaz.

28. Start a School of Public Health in Kurdistan

Kurdistan is in urgent need for public health professionals. We need the medical education system to focus more on primary and secondary health care.

The health care system in Kurdistan is paying more attention to expensive and less rewarding elements of care.

29. Save IRAN from Executions

[Version française plus loin]

Excellency Ban Ki-Moon,

Following the presidential elections of June 2009 and ensuing peaceful protests from Iranians challenging the results, the government of the Islamic Republic of Iran is engaged in the systematic suppression of all forms of dissent. From street beatings to torture, rape, disappearance, to formal executions - the Iranian regime has violated even its own laws. In two cases the appeal court has converted the sentences from imprisonment to Execution by hanging.

Iran is party to a number of United Nations Treaties, all of which acknowledge the right to life of every human being. We believe that Iran should be pressured to uphold the international human rights standards to which it has acceded.

Today more than 60 political prisoners are in the DEATH ROW awaiting the final act. The news that we have received recently indicate that Zeinab Jalalian, a Kurdish freedom fighter of 27, might be executed at any moment.

Concerning our sister Zeinab Jalalian we urge you to join our effort to achieve following targets:
1- The Death Sentence of Zeynab Jalalian should be immediately cancelled.
2- Her family and lawyer should get access to her.
3- An independent medical committee from international Human Rights organizations to examine physical and mental conditions of our sister, and to apply treatments.

A list of prisoners follows. This list might change day by day as some of may be hanged (often w.ith no notice being given to their families) and some new names might be added. We try to update the list here.

30. Save Bahman (shirko) Maarefi from Execution

Excellency Ban Ki Moon,

The Iranian regime is ready to yet commit another crime!! After recent execution of Ehsan, they are now determined to take Shirkoo’s life away.

Bahman Moaarefi known as Shirko, a 30 year old Kurd activist from Banneh (a city of Kurdistan province) has been recognized as Mohareb (god’s enemy) by the Iranian judicial system! He has been charged with propaganda against the regime and fight against the god which in the Islamic regime of Iran is a crime punishable by death.

He was arrested on November 1st, 2007 and has been in detention at Saghez’s intelligence office. Currently he is prohibited from having visitors in detention.

In preparation for his execution, Shirko Moaarefi was transferred to solitary confinement at Saghez central prison. He is one of the Kurd civil activist who was arrested in Saghez last year and was sentenced to death after being interrogated and severely tortured.

He may be taken for execution unannounced, as his lawyer Khalil Bahramian has confirmed the news of Shirko’s transfer to solitary confinement. Based on the unannounced and expeditious execution of Ehsan Fatahyan, the regime might take the same position and execute Shirko in 1-2 days.

We are asking you to please do not remain silent during these critical days as the Islamic regime will not hesitate taking this young activist’s life!

Thank you in advance for all your hard work.

Best Regards,
