1. Stand up for God

My background, history and evidence are taken from the Holy Bible. Taken out of the Book of Jeremiah Chapter 18 starting with verse 18, going on to Chapter 27. I liken this Nation as Israel, being it was given the torch to carry the Word of God to the entirety of the world. This Nation was founded on Christianity, one Nation under One God. We have taken God out of our schools, courthouses and slowly our Country. Our law of freedom of religion has become freedom from God. This is bringing judgment upon our Nation. As Jeremiah, I weep to see our nation falling so far from the Almighty God that founded our Nation. Woe to you leaders and pastors who set idly by as millions are murdered by abortion. Woe to you who condone homosexuality, transgender and gay marriage and Woe to you who take the Name of God out of our public places, who remove the 10 commandments from our squares and prayer out of our children's schools. We allow the worship of other gods in the high places, it is time to remove the high places from our country. I am a Pastor that believes in the whole Bible. Not just parts I pick and choose to fit my lifestyle. Nor do I leave out parts that may offend someone or hurt someone's feelings. If we as leaders, pastors and Christians fail to warn others of the just judgment of God then we are the ones with blood on our hands. Stand up for God.

3. Free Iranian Christian Ebrahim Firouzi, Serving 5-Year Sentence For Peaceful Missionary Activities

MARCH 29, 2017--The five-year prison sentence against Christian convert Ebrahim Firouzi for his alleged missionary activities has been confirmed by the Appeals Court in Tehran, the Center for Human Rights in Iran (CHRI) has learned.
The ruling, issued on January 15, 2017, also requires Firouzi to spend two years in exile in the village of Sarbaz in a remote part of Sistan and Baluchistan Province, according to an informed source who spoke to CHRI on the condition of anonymity.
The 32-year-old welder has been held in Ward 12 for political prisoners in Rajaee Shahr Prison in Karaj, 32 miles west of Tehran, since 2014. He has been prosecuted three times since 2010 for converting from Islam to Christianity and allegedly organizing Christian religious meetings.
When he was first arrested in January 2010, interrogators offered Firouzi freedom if he declared himself a Muslim. He chose prosecution and was convicted by the Revolutionary Court in Karaj of ‚Äúpropaganda against the state‚ÄĚ for his religious conversion and alleged missionary activities and sentenced to five months in prison with an additional five-month suspended prison sentence.
Firouzi was freed on June 8, 2011, but on March 8, 2012 he was arrested again for allegedly ‚Äúattempting to create a website teaching about Christianity‚ÄĚ (in order to convert people) and again charged with ‚Äúpropaganda against the state.‚ÄĚ
He was sentenced to one year in prison and two years in exile by Judge Hassan Babaee of the Revolutionary Court in Robat Karim, 16 miles southwest of Tehran. The decision was upheld on appeal.
The third arrest took place on September 16, 2014. During interrogations in Evin Prison’s Ward 240, Firouzi was put under intense pressure to issue a false confession in return for freedom, but refused, according to an informed source.
In April 2015, Firouzi was sentenced to five years in prison for allegedly ‚Äúcreating a group with the intention of disturbing national security‚ÄĚ by Judge Mohammad Moghisseh of Branch 28 of the Revolutionary Court.
Based on the decision by the Appeals Court, Firouzi will remain incarcerated until 2019.
Despite President Hassan Rouhani‚Äôs¬†pledges during his election campaign¬†in 2013 that ‚Äúall ethnicities, all religions, even religious minorities, must feel justice,‚ÄĚ the¬†targeting of Christian converts¬†has continued unabated under his administration.

4. Free Asia Bibi from Death Sentence

Asia Bibi, a Pakistani Christian woman has been sentenced to hang till death on November 10th 2010, after she was accused of making 'blasphemous' comments about the prophet Mohammed during an argument.

While working as a berry picker in 2009, 46-year-old Asia Bibi got into a dispute with a group of Muslim women who objected to her drinking their water because as a Christian she was considered 'unclean'. Hours after the incident one of the women reported mother-of-five Ms Bibi to a local cleric, claiming she had made disparaging remarks about the prophet Mohammed during the row. As a result of the allegations, a furious mob arrived at Ms Bibi's home and savagely beat her and members of her family. She was later arrested, charged with blasphemy and eventually sentenced to death - with her entire family forced to go into hiding after receiving threats on their lives.

The shocking case hit global headlines after two prominent politicians ( Former Minister Shahbaz Bhatti and former Governor of Punjab Salman Taseer) who tried to help Ms Bibi were assassinated. Lawyers showered the killer ( governor’s own body guard) with rose petals when he appeared in court and the judge who convicted him of murder had to flee the country.

Lately, on 6th October 2016 on Thursday; case of Asia Bibi was fixed for hearing by the full bench of Supreme court (three judge bench). During the hearing one of the three judges excused to sit n the hearing. Now her case has been sine die adjourned. It’s a height of injustice, because justice delayed is justice denied.

It is therefore, supplicated before the entire International Community to mobilize a campaign towards the acquittal of innocent Asia Bibi; who has been ensnared in the clutch of the blasphemy laws and set her free from the Death sentence.

5. Excommunicate Joe Biden from the Catholic Church

Vice-President Joe Biden, who is a member of the Roman Catholic Church, officiated over the blasphemous perversion of a Homosexual Pseudo-wedding in the White House on August 1, 2016. He said that was proud to perform this abomination against God.

The Word of God states that members of the Church who engage in such grievous sexual immorality, without repentance, must be removed from membership in the Church. (1Corinthians 5:1-5)

Therefore, Vice-President Biden must be excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

6. Bring back Freedom of speech for Christians at FORT RILEY KS

This petition's purpose is to make known the event where Fort Riley denied retired Lt. General Jerry Boykin a prayer breakfast speech because of his religious preferences as a Christian.

I and those signing this petition fight to bring back Boykin and fight for our religious freedom as Christians as well. Fort Riley claims to want everyone to feel equal, while condemning Christians at the same time, stopping them from stating their personal beliefs.

Bring the real army back. Make Fort Riley better. Sign this petition.

7. Stand up for Jesus!

Speaking up for Jesus is a group of believers from various backgrounds & beliefs, but who share in believing in the name of Jesus. We are tired of allowing groups & organizations like Freedom from Religion & others like it to come into our cities, towns, & neighborhoods in order to purposefully remove the name of Jesus from our streets, schools, public & city related places etc.

The city of Hawkins, Tx. has once again come under attack by this group & are currently being threatened that if we don't remove a sign that states "Jesus welcomes you to Hawkins" from a piece of property; one that is still under investigation as to whom the piece of property actually belongs to, that the Freedom from religion group is going to sue, because it is claimed to be "offensive" & against Constitutional Rights.

We the people are fed up with this organization & ones like them coming into our towns, cities, & neighborhoods threatening us if we don't remove the name of Jesus.

We as a body of believers have chosen to take action & stand against these attacks & stop allowing them to come in & do so. We believe in the name of Jesus & will stand as a body of Christ against the enemy, to protect the name of our Lord & Savior; as well as our right to worship and praise him in any way & any where that we wish.

8. To His Holiness Pope Francis ‚Äď Please speak for Christian mercy toward animals

This is a respectful appeal to Pope Francis to publicly speak about showing mercy to animals (especially the so-called 'food animals') as a positive moral action which is not in any way contrary to the Magisterium and completely in line with the imperative of Christian love.

The petition invites signatories from the general public, Christians, believers in other religions and non-believers alike.

9. Help Support People Harshly Persecuted for their Faith

Christians and other groups are harshly persecuted in Iraq, Sudan, Nigeria, and in other countries. Many of them have been told to abandon their Christian Faith or pay an additional tax for being Christians, or leave the country, or face death. Most fled and are looking for safety. They lack food and water.

In other countries, terrorists have entered Christians churches and killed many of the worshippers.

We need to do something for our brothers and sisters going through these hard and dangerous times.

10. Free Iranian Christians Seyed Alireza Ali Haghnejad, Mohammad Roghangir and Soroush Rezayi

July 7, 2014--The security forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran have arrested three new converts to Christianity, all members of a group called The Church of Iran, in Anzali city.

According to the report of Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Seyed Alireza Ali Haghnejad, known as Mathews, a newly-converted Christian from Anzali city was arrested on July 5th.

Mathews is a minister of the church, who was arrested along with Mohammad Roghangir (known as Vahid) and Soroush Rezayi, who are from the same church in Shiraz, in Anzali, at Mathew’s house, on Saturday, July 5.

The security forces seized the holy books, pamphlets and personal computer of Mathews.

Previously, Pastor Yousef Nadar khani, another member of Iran church was sentenced to death, but because of the activities of human rights organizations the sentence was cancelled and he was subsequently released.

Behnam Irani, another member of this church, who is serving his sentence at Central Prison of Karaj was transferred to an unknown location for two weeks last month, despite his bad physical and health condition. He is deprived of all the rights of a prisoners like furlough.

11. No to Religious Conversion Bill-draft

This petition is to reflect the opinion of the citizens of Myanmar worldwide on the new law, Religious Conversion Bill draft to be passed by the government.

We are against this bill since we found it unconstitutional, undemocratic, and unnecessary. This bill can indirectly impact the religious freedom currently enjoyed by people in Myanmar and the rest of the world.

Myanmar's government is trying to measure public support for a religious conversion bill put forward by nationalist Buddhist monks that would require anyone who wants to convert to another faith to get permission from local authorities.

If passed, anyone found guilty of proselytizing could face up to a year in prison.

12. Save Mariam Yahya Ibrahim and her Unborn Baby

Marium Yahya Ibrahim, 27 has been sentenced to be hanged in Sudan for not returning to Islam. She is 8 months pregnant and has been caring for her 20 month old son who is with her in detention.

She was also charged with "adultery" for marrying a Christian man, for which she will receive 100 lashes.

Please help overturn the ruling on appeal.

13. Bring Christian Teaching back into UK schools

A petition to the UK Education Department to seriously consider making Christian Teaching mandatory in infant, junior and secondary schools throughout the UK.

14. Stop the genocide against the Coptic Christians

The ongoing slaughter and persecution of the Coptic Christians in Egypt is a crime against humanity.

15. Free Iranian Christian Pastor Farhad Sabokrooh And His Wife Shahnaz Jayzan

AUGUST 13 2013-- The authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran have denied furlough from prison for Christian Pastor Farhad Sabokrooh of the Rabani community church of Ahwaz and his wife Shahnaz Jayzan.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), the judge in the court denied the furlough of the Pastor and his wife on the pretext that the dossier of Farhad Sabokrooh has been lost.

With the existence of several copies from a dossier, losing a dossier is not such a normal occurrence though.

Farhad Sabokrooh and Shahnaz Jayzan were sentenced to one year imprisonment by the revolutionary court on charges of Conversion from Islam to Christianity, encouraging the conversion to Christianity of other Muslims, and propagating against the regime by promoting Christianity as missionaries.

Farhad Sabokrooh and his wife Shahnaz Jayzan are currently serving their sentences in Karoon prison of Ahwaz.

Pastor Farhad Sabokrooh, his wife Shahnaz Jayzan and church workers Naser Zaman-Dezfuli and Davoud Alijani were initially arrested in December 2011, after authorities in the southern town of Ahwaz raided their church’s Christmas celebrations and detained everyone in the building, including children attending Sunday School.

According to Iranian agency Mohabat News, all four were charged with ‚Äúconverting to Christianity and propagating against the Islamic Republic through evangelism‚ÄĚ, and were each sentenced to one year in prison by the Revolutionary Court in Ahwaz. They were temporarily released, but were summoned to court on 1 May 2013 and re-arrested. Mr Alijani was transferred to Ahwaz‚Äôs Karoon Prison to complete his sentence, while Pastor Sabokrooh, Shahnaz Jayzan and Mr Zaman-Dezfuli were taken to Sepidar Prison.

17. Free Iranian Christian Pastor Behnam Irani, Suffering Poor Health in Prison

Behnam Irani, an imprisoned Christian convert, is in deteriorating health and prison authorities are denying hismmedical care.

According to a report by Human Rights Activists News Agency (HRANA), Behnam Irani has a blood infection , and he might be sent to a hospital for a surgeryto remove part of his intestines, which are source of infection.

Behnam Irani has been arrested and tried for ‚Äúcrimes‚ÄĚ against national security twice, first in December 2006 and second April 2010. Basically, in this instance, "crimes against national security" meant holding house church services leading Muslims to convert to the Christan faith.

The first time he was arrested was in December 2006. He was released on bail in January 2007. On February 23, 2008 Branch 30 of the Appellate Court in Tehran gave him a five year suspended sentence. Since it was a suspended sentence he was not required to go to prison, but was free on a five-year probation.

On April 14, 2010 Intelligence Ministry officers burst into a house church service, assaulted him and took him into custody. A service was taking place at the time and the security officials interrogated those attending as well as confiscating Bibles, Christian literature and DVD’s. Behnam was in prison for two months then he was released on bail in June 2010. In January 2011 he was tried for and convicted of crimes against national security.

On May 31, 2011 a warrant was issued for his arrest so he turned himself into the prison and began serving a one year sentence plus his five year suspended sentence.

18. Keep Catholic Tradition alive in Public Schools

For a really long time, I have been having a religious debate with my uncle, who is a modern atheist. I, unlike him, am a devout, practicing Catholic who wants nothing more than to spread the faith Christ founded for us and to make the world hear his word.

My uncle, and most other new atheists, would like to completely abolish the Catholic faith and make everyone atheist, and right now their main target is public schools.

The objective for us now is to keep Catholic tradition alive, which is hard in today's secular world. So if you are interested in keeping the Catholic faith alive, join my petition so we can.

19. Fight for the CROSS

In recent times I have observed the worlds political system set about the covert removal and criminalisation of Christian values and practice from mainstream.

For decades the word of God and the practice of living in Christ has been under attack.

The erosion has been allowed to continue unchecked for some time. Today it is wrong to speak against same sex coupling, and before you blink clergy of all denomination will be forced to perform same sex marriages or face imprisonment. Tomorrow those of us who wear the simple cross will be brought before the courts and face incarceration.

Brothers and sisters both those of the world and in those who are in Christ Jesus can you not see similarities with a bygone time here? Must we quietly and blindly return to a time when we have to follow the way of the cross in secret and in fear I SAY NO it is time for us to declare ourselves and stand up for Jesus.

20. Protect the Christians in Iraq

The Iraqi Christians need to be protected from being attacked by Muslim extremist.

It is not morally justifiable to attack them because of their Christianity beliefs that disagrees with Islam religion.

21. Overturn the Death Sentence of Iranian Christian Youcef Nadarkhani for "Apostasy"

Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, lawyer for Youcef Nadarkhani, a Protestant Christian pastor charged with apostasy, refuted reports by some media outlets that his client‚Äôs death sentence has been upheld. ‚ÄúFortunately, on Tuesday, 27 June, Youcef Nadarkhani‚Äôs death sentence was overturned by the Supreme Court in Qom and it is on hold until Mr. Nadarkhani repents [i.e. renounces his Christianity]. But still, in this ruling it has been stipulated that in case Nadarkhani does not repent, his case file would once again be sent back to the lower court in Rasht. In a way, a complete overturning of the apostasy verdict depends on Nadarkhani‚Äôs repentance,‚ÄĚ he told the International Campaign for Human Rights in Iran.

‚ÄúBecause apostasy is not mentioned in Iran‚Äôs penal code, and apostasy is not considered a crime, then the court has to consider Mr. Nadarkhani‚Äôs case in the context of [the crime] ‚Äôinsulting the Prophet of Islam.‚Äô In this respect, since my client has not made any insults, he can tell the same to the court. Anyhow, that is all in the future and has to do with my client‚Äôs explanation. I am hoping that the death sentence will never be confirmed,‚ÄĚ said Mohammad Ali Dadkhah about his client‚Äôs repentance.

Previously, family members and associates of Nadarkhani told the Campaign that officials from the Judiciary and the Ministry of Intelligence tried to force the pastor to repent and renounce his Christian conversion. So far, Nadarkhani has maintained that he has never done anything against Islam and will not renounce his faith. ‚ÄúPastor Youcef has not budged,‚ÄĚ said a close associate of his from Rasht.

Youcef Nadarkhani is a 32-year old pastor who was born to Muslim parents. He converted to Christianity at the age of 19. Before his arrest in October 2009, Nadarkhani led a congregation of about 400 Christians in Rasht. The congregation is part of a nationwide evangelical group called the Church of Iran, many of whose members have been arrested and prosecuted since 2009. On 23 August 2010, Nadarkhani’s apostasy death sentence was upheld by Branch Eleven of the Appeals Court of Gilan Province. Nadarkhani is currently being held in Rasht Prison, where he was able to visit with his wife in March, after having not seen each other in a long time. Ever since he has once again been denied visitation with his family.

NOTE: Pastor Nadarkhani's lawyer Mohammad Ali Dadkhah, mentioned above, has himself been sentenced to nine years in prison for his work as a human rights lawyer. He is appealing this draconian sentence. Please also sign the petition calling for the overturn of this illegal sentence:

If the death penalty is carried out, it will be the first official hanging for apostasy and conversion to Christianity in the last twenty years.

On December 3, 1990, Pastor Hussein Sodmand was hanged in Mashhad Prison for refusing to give up his Christian faith. Pastor Sodmand is the only priest who has been officially executed by the Islamic Judiciary Branch for apostasy and conversion to Christianity.

22. Repeal Aasia Bibi's death sentence

A Pakistani court has sentenced to death a Christian mother of five for blasphemy.

Aasia Bibi, 45, was sentenced on November 8, 2010 by a court in Nankana district in Punjab. She was arrested in Ittanwalai village and prosecuted under Section 295 C of the Pakistan Penal Code, and has been awarded the death penalty.

We, the undersigned, believe that Aasia Bibi, being a working class Christian woman, is one of the many victims of religious intolerance and sectarian hatred, which is protected and promoted by Pakistan's vicious and obscene Blasphemy law.

The Blasphemy Laws in the Pakistan Penal Code are rooted in the Indian Penal Code of 1860 and they were introduced through Sections 295-B and 295-C of the Pakistan Penal Code during the dictatorial regime of General Mohammad Zia-ul-Haq. The newly-introduced sections aimed to protect holy personages of only one religion, i.e. Islam, which is the state religion. Section 295-C which was added by an act of the parliament in 1986, and made it a criminal offence to use derogatory remarks in respect of the Holy Prophet (PBUH). Under Section 295-C, the offence was punishable with life imprisonment or death.

23. Keep prayers at public events - Your voice counts!

They want to ban the prayer spoken at public events! ‚ÄúSchool Prayers Targeted‚ÄĚ headlines scream on front page of the Chattanooga Times Free Press newspaper, dated Wed. Oct. 20, 2010. The ‚ÄúFreedom from Religion Foundation" is demanding local school leaders to eliminate prayer at public events. They claim, by them hearing prayers over the use of loudspeakers at football games, graduation ceremonies etc. is an "unconstitutional government-endorsed form of religion." I agree with Jim Rogers, a parent of a local Hamilton County student who boldly stated, "Public Christian prayer falls under the right of free speech." He stated, "Our country was founded on the principle of religious suffrage and the freedom to express that religion. God is incorporated in our money, the oath of office, our legal system, and in the Pledge of Allegiance. You cannot find one aspect of our secular government that doesn't make reference to our Creator."

I was astounded after exploring ‚ÄúFreedom from Religion Foundations‚ÄĚ web site. Using unified solicitations; ‚ÄúOne person can make a difference." Encouraging slogans ‚ÄúMake a Difference‚ÄĚ as they quote the powerful words of Thomas Paine; "Those who expect to reap the blessings of freedom must undergo the fatigue‚Ķ of supporting it." Freedom from Religion Foundations is only 30 yrs old yet holds the most trophies for eliminating ‚ÄúGod‚ÄĚ from ‚ÄúGovernment‚ÄĚ than any other foundation. They call us hypocrites, mocking the very existence and substance of God, the Creator of this marvelous, spectacular planet, twisting HIS truth for the use of destruction and slander against God‚Äôs glory and purpose.

This warfare against God is not new, nor is it a new technique, the Bible tells many stories of this same enemy‚ĶI realize winning this petition, and keeping our ‚Äúright to verbally pray before public events‚ÄĚ does not stop nor silence the enemy of God; however it will prevent us from losing our constitutional rights to exercise our freedom of religion to pray out loud wherever, whenever, however, we desire!

Stand together & refuse to let some half-witted enemy without foundation of any faith or principle dictate that we have to participate in ‚Äúsilencing‚ÄĚ our voice! Our Saviors blood fell on this earth giving us the covenant of God‚Äôs benefits and blessing. Do not seal your mouth with fear, slothfulness, nor listen to lies that your voice will not make a difference ‚Äď even the enemy agrees one person can make a difference! According to Phil 2:1-10‚Ķ how much more powerful are we when we lift our voices in unity, like minded, with the same love, same purpose‚Ķ as we await for the day that every knee shall bow, every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord! Sign this petition! Proudly enter your name, city, and state and sign this petition. Spread it around‚Ķ together will not surrender due to our silence!

24. Return Prayer Back Into Our Schools

We as Christians have turned our backs on this great country (founded by God), and have remained silent and stagnant, and allowed one woman (Madeline Murray O'Hare) to take prayer out of our public school system, without a fight.

This has threatened the core moral fibers of this nation.

25. Bring Prayer Back To Public Schools

Prayer in Schools .. For and Against. (By Carol Brooks)

Much has been said both for and against prayer in schools. There is little doubt that neither the founding fathers nor the Lord Jesus Himself would have been in favour of ‚Äėforced‚Äô or ‚Äėstate sponsored‚Äô prayer. The option to pray or not to pray is a matter of individual choice and has to come from the heart. It is a matter of some doubt whether the actual doing away of prayer in schools has directly contributed to the escalation of teen-age pregnancies and suicides and the downward spiral of the SAT scores. The Pharisees thought they would be heard for their ‚Äėmuch speaking‚Äô, and similarly it is questionable as to how much value there is in a ‚Äėcanned‚Äô prayer even if recited by thousands of young people across the country. (Consider that most schools in India start their day with a very generic prayer, similar to the one that sparked the U.S. Supreme court‚Äôs decision on the Engels v. Vitale case in 1962).

However the indisputable statistics in the following article are too frightening to be ignored and, even more damningly, the downward slide in behavior started about the time of the court decision and very evidently had something to do with it. As we see it, the court ruling to remove prayer from the school system was nothing more than the ‚Äėofficial‚Äô stamp on the removal of God from a very crucial part of our society. It was simply one large step among many small ones, which has contributed to the moral & spiritual disintegration of the US. It was a flying leap across the narrow chasm separating a God fearing moral country and the chaotic ‚Äėeverything goes‚Äô situation we find ourselves in today. The message the Supreme Court sent to the country that fateful day was that it was okay to ‚Äėremove‚Äô God from His rightful place.

Remove the fear of God from the human heart, whitewash the reality that all of us will face and answer to a supremely moral Being sooner or later, eliminate the concept that He demands adherence to His laws and it is but a short step to the deterioration of the cornerstone of society… The Family. With the fear of God done away with there is no longer any reason to treat the marriage vows as sacred, to bring up God-fearing children. From there it is an even shorter step to all the other sinister and evil circumstances we find ourselves in today…. Teen pregnancies, violent crime, suicide, drugs and alcohol abuse are the very logical fruits of a society that has forgotten that He is a God of wrath.

The US Supreme Court was simply another tool, a very effective tool, in Satan’s hand.
ALEDO, TX (FR) - How did the removal of voluntary prayer from the schools of the United States affect our nation as a whole? That question has been answered in detail by a research company in Texas which has gathered and tabulated statistics from hundreds of sources relating to the rates of moral decline in America.

Specialty Research Associates, under the direction of David Barton, has released a report entitled America: To Pray or Not to Pray which uses over 100 pages of graphs and statistical analysis to prove that crime, venereal disease, premarital sex, illiteracy, suicide, drug use, public corruption, and other social ills began a dramatic increase after the Engel vs. Vitale Supreme Court decision was made in 1962 which banned school prayer.

Prayer in schools prior to 1962 was utilized in school districts all over the U.S. in many varieties. Some teachers used extemporaneous prayers, simply expressing their thoughts and desires; others implemented structured prayers, such as the Lord's Prayer or the 23rd Psalm, or others approved by local school boards. New York students prayed each day: "Almighty God, we acknowledge our dependence on Thee and beg Thy blessing over us, our parents, our teachers, and our nation." It was this simple prayer which came under fire and went to the Supreme Court for the landmark decision.

Says David Barton, "It is impossible to know how many of the 39 million children were involved in daily verbal prayers, but most accounts indicate that a clear majority of the students voluntarily participated in daily school prayer. Is it possible that the prayers that were being offered by these children and their teachers across the nation actually had any measurable, tangible effect?"

It was this question that led Barton to uncover the statistical proof that the removal of prayer did indeed take its toll on America. Below are just a few of the examples featured in Barton's report.

A. Young People

1. For 15 years before 1963 pregnancies in girls ages 15 through 19 years had been no more than 15 per thousand After 1963 pregnancies increased 187% in the next 15 years.

2. For younger girls, ages 10 to 14 years, pregnancies since 1963 are up 553%.

3. Before 1963 sexually transmitted diseases among students were 400 per 100,000. Since 1963, they were up 226% in the next 12 years.

B. The Family

1. Before 1963 divorce rates had been declining for 15 years. After 1963 divorces increased 300% each year for the next 15 years.

2. Since 1963 unmarried people living together is up 353%

3. Since 1963 single parent families are up 140%.

4. Since 1963 single parent families with children are up 160%.

C. Education

1. The educational standard of measure has been the SAT scores. SAT scores had been steady for many years before 1963. From 1963 they rapidly declined for 18 consecutive years, even though the same test has been used since 1941.

2. In 1974-75 the rate of decline of the SAT scores decreased, even though they continued to decline. That was when there was an explosion of private religious schools. There were only 1000 Christian schools in 1965. Between 1974 to 1984 they increased to 32,000.

a. That could have an impact if the private schools had higher SAT scores. In checking with the SAT Board it was found that indeed the SAT scores for private schools were nearly 100 points higher than public schools.

b. In fact the scores were at the point where the public schools had been before their decline started in 1963 when prayer and Bible reading/ instruction was removed from the schools.

c. The scores in the public schools were still declining.

3. Of the nation's top academic scholars, three times as many come from private religious schools, which operate on one-third the funds as do the public schools.

D. The Nation

1. Since 1963 violent crime has increased 544%.

3. Illegal drugs have become an enormous & uncontrollable problem.

2. The nation has been deprived of an estimated 30 million citizens through legal abortions just since 1973.

It is also more than slightly disturbing that prayer has been taken out of schools yet there are so many instances where religion and the existence of God are recognized by the government. For example:

Each day's session of the Supreme Court starts with the invocation: "God save the United States and this Honorable Court."

The National Anthem, "The Star Spangled Banner" contains the words "Praise the Pow'r that hath made and preserved us a nation."

The Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag contains the words "one Nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all."

This petition is not to make students pray but to at least present them the opportunity to do so.

26. Stop the EDL!!

The edl are a fascist group which demonise and manipulate the british people into believing their views. The British people live in a democratic country with equal rights and the EDL (English Defence League) are twisting this and changing the way we think.

They have had a number of marches against islam but they say its against extremist islam which in actual is not what they are against they are against islam as a whole. They are making the British people believe that muslims are trying to take over the uk and radicalise it, this is a lie! just yesterday the EDL had a march through stoke on trent which was against extremist islam but the aftermath to this was far from anything they made us beleave this is what they set out to do.

As you can see from the following link shown below that many british officers were injured aswell as many passerbys all in the name of the EDL's ''peacfully protesting against radical islam'' as is stated on there webpage slogan!

so where is the peace with this group? oh and i forgot to mention the group was founded by football hooligans! Why would a person want to put the faith of the UK in the hands of hooligans?!

29. Chris Martin, Coldplay: Have Faith

Chris Martin is a talented singer, keyboard player and guitarist. He is a role model to many children around the world. But when it comes to religion, Martin isn't a good example to children. He once believed in Christ but hasn't believed in Christ since his childhood.

This petition is to PERSUADE Chris Martin to become a Christian again. I am not taking away his right of free religion. But I hope with this petition, Martin will realize that his fans strongly believe that he should once again believe in Christ.

30. Young Professionals for Morality

We believe that homosexuality is morally wrong and that the Young Professionals of Wichita (YPW) promoting a film or events that try to portray the Bible and homosexuality as compatible is offensive. We believe that Jesus says to hate the sin but love the sinner. So while we don’t condone their actions, we do show them Christ’s love.

YPW should not be promoting events that try to ridicule the beliefs of so many. Instead of being accomodating and not promoting a 'religious' event, they have decided to spotlight all the weeks events which include not just one but 3 offensive 'religious' events.
