Our schools do not have any kind of security personnel on campus. Other equivalent schools in the county DO have these officers patrolling the schools to act as security, mentors, etc. for our youth. With safely being a concern that is on everyone’s minds it is time we address this issue.
Our school doesn’t currently have a School Resource Officer assigned to our campus. Currently all high schools in the county and several middle schools have dedicated SRO’s on campus to help with security and a list of other responsibilities. The goal of this petition is to secure a SRO for YPA. Our children deserve the same sense of security as any others.
