Rural Canada still has limited Internet access. Dial-up is not always reliable nor affordable. However wireless carriers like Rogers, Bell, Telus and Fido have excellent coverage including rural areas.
By assuring Internet connectivity to rural Canadians, we can expect increased productivity and work opportunities.
Because Internet access via satellite and long distance WIFI networks are very expensive, using the wireless carrier networks would provide Canadians with more choices.
We, the undersigned, call on the CRTC, Canadian Radio-Telecommunications Commission, to oblige wireless carriers to offer unlimited data and Internet service at rates comparable to existing broadband services.
