The changes taking place to the Crossgates Tennis department have left many members angry and frustrated. Very few if any club members like or respect the new director. The majority of tennis players loved Damon Romero as the tennis director and wish to have him remain as the director. Damon has been with the club for 25 years. He has coached many adults who rely on his weekly lessons and clinics as part of their active lifestyle.
We sign this petition to express our objection and dissatisfaction to the changes taking place at the Crossgates Club tennis department. We are extremely upset by the replacement of Damon Romero as the director of tennis. Damon is a fantastic coach, instructor, and director. Damon has always run the tennis department with honesty, integrity and creativity as well as being fun, friendly and welcoming to all. Those of us signing this petition agree that if Damon leaves Crossgates as a result of his demotion that we will not participate in any tennis program beyond what our base membership provides. We will not monetarily support the new director or attend any events sponsored by the new director, including but not limited to his socials, special clinics or private lessons. We will not promote Crossgates Tennis to friends, family, or acquaintances. By signing, we are declaring our loyalty to Damon and insist that you retain Damon as the Director of Adult Tennis at Crossgates.
