In order to work with any persons defined as "vulnerable sector" all social workers, child and youth workers, teachers and other professionals need to obtain a vulnerable sector screening. This process takes the Toronto Regional Police ten to fourteen weeks. This is an unreasonable time frame, seeing as agencies need it to be completed within the last 30 days.
This petition is to reduce the length of time it takes the Toronto Regional Police to conduct the process to be more equivalent to other Regional Police within Ontario.
We, the undersigned, petition to reduce the wait time it takes for the Toronto Regional Police to conduct a Vulnerable Sector Screening.
