As a mum to 3 children and living in 3 lane ends, i feel that somthing should be done to the local park. This area has a school which serves many children, most from the local area, and I feel we should have a suitable area for the children to go and be able to play safely.
This park has only got an old slide, seesaw and just 1 swing. With the size of the area and its prime location, you would think that it would have been modernized before now. The nearest park is not local and with no other means of entertainment in this area, it'd be ideal to install new apparatus for children to play on.
I'm not asking for millions to be spent, but by installing more swings, a climbing frame, a new seesaw and a new slide, would give kids more hours entertainment than just what's there at the moment. Please could you take a few moments and sign this petition so we can get a step closer into making improvements.
I am going to call upon WMDC to take this petition into mind and update the park for local children. With support from parents and local residents i want them to understand that we should not be forgotten in this area and update our parks like they do all others across wakfield area.
With the help from schools, supermarkets and local businesses, I will make WMDC know that we want changes, and we want them soon.
