Loud House Farm is a small six acre family farmstead in Terrace Lake Gardens Neighborhood. We sit on the backside of the lake on a quiet back street.
We are four generations living together, gardening and tending our small herd of
goats trying to create a healthy environment for our family, our animals and our community. We want to offer the surrounding neighborhood and city the opportunity for a small farm experience; through our farmer markets, classes and Community Gatherings.. Last Year we hosted seasonal Markets, were part of the Cultivate KC Farm Tour, offered classes on Missouri foraging, housed the Seed Exchange Pot Luck Dinner and opened our farm to a dear friend for her special wedding day. We are honored to have the land and to use it in a meaningful way.
Loud House farm and market are now under threat. The President of our neighborhood association has discovered our little farm and put her sites on our activities. Under our current zoning status our farm events have been closed down and even our small herd of dairy goats are at risk. We are in contact with the zoning and planning Departments of Kansas City MO. and will be applying for an adjustment in our zoning to allow for greater usage of our land.
We are your neighbors. Our hope is that farm enriches your lives and adds value to the neighborhood.
