I am an 18 year old boy that is passionate about tennis and is interested in having a club or tournament of professional players in Orkney.
There used to be a tennis club here about 20 years or more ago and I remember being told so many stories about the club and the wonderful courts that we had at one time but unfortunately the site where these wonderful courts were is now a housing estate.
I have tried to for 5 years now to get somewhere but there seems to be lack of interest within the council I know that tennis is an expensive sport but if we had facilities then we would be very grateful and they would be used often am sure of it there has been many a person said to me that they would like to learn how to play tennis but they can't because there is lack of courts and there is no club or coaches.
