Tennessee Department of Education gives or attempts to give the Tennessee Comprehensive Assesment Program to see where the students are at the end of the year in their classes.
The act is a test used to get into college. It is one of the main factors to getting into college. It tests you over four academic areas; English, mathematics, reading, and scientific reasoning. It also has an optional writing portion.
We the undersigned, call on the Tennessee Department of Education to change the focus of high school students educational path from the TCAP to the ACT. That way students that don't have much information on the ACT can get a higher score on it and have a better chance of getting college scholarships.
