To the West Monroe Dixie Youth Organization: Please stop scheduling baseball/softball games on Wednesday nights.
Parents, children, coaches, and attendees associated with West Monroe Dixie Youth are being forced to make a tough decision between baseball and attending church on Wednesday nights when make-up games are scheduled on this important evening in church families. For those who are committed to spiritual growth and support in a church family, Wednesday nights are a year-round activity that should not be affected by extracurricular activities.
Churches and church members support this organization through advertising, coaching, and individual efforts and we feel that West Monroe Dixie Youth should honor their commitment and service by changing their policy of rescheduling postponed games to Wednesday nights.
The signatures below represent individuals who respectfully request that West Monroe Dixie Youth recognize the importance of Wednesday nights here in our faith-based community.
We request that all games that are postponed due to weather or unforeseen events be rescheduled on Saturdays or Sunday afternoons instead of Wednesday evenings.
