What was originally created as a tool to connect people all over the world in order to share ideas and support communication, has morphed into a corporate monster that assists the spread of fraudulent activities and information on a global scale. This publicly listed corporation is indirectly responsible for thousands of deaths by aiding and promoting regime change, political candidates, civil unrest, financial dealings, slanted multi-national advertisement, forced popular opinion and more.
The public demands a platform based on free speech, but true. Equality for all, but fair. True reporting, but verified.
Nothing Facebook provides provides these basic services.
As we all belong to the human race, we are all in this together. Without one another, nothing can move forward. Without consumers, there is no business. Without mother nature, there are no resources to exploit. Without a public to rule, there is no leadership required. All of this must be carefully balanced, and well thought out in advance.
Facebook was not designed for what it provides when it was created in a dorm room.
"We, the undersigned, call on Facebook to do the right thing and shut itself down. We ask that those residing in the C-Suite build a new platform requiring REAL people (not companies) to open accounts, FACT check material before posting, remove itself from the political arena (there should be another platform just for that), rid itself of advertisement (as it was in the beginning), and actually be an unbiased host where global citizens can exchange ideas."
