The intersection of Knowlton and Lochleven Dr.
The intersection is not a four way stop. On the north west corner is a very well visited park and playground. This intersection is also very busy of children heading to and from school. Knowlton Dr. Is also an unposted speed limit street which makes it a 50km zone. This is very unsafe for children to cross.
I have spoken to the city and to the MPP office and survey has been completed during the cold weather months and was told this does not warrant a stop sign. I believe that every intersection where children need to cross to go to the park or school should be a automatic four way stop.
This is how traffic is controlled to keep our children safe.
I call on you to sign this petition to stand up for children's safety, and to put pressure on the city of Toronto, to put stop signs at parks, to slow down traffic and keep our children safe.
