Recently at Pekin Community High School, a student was suspended for having a bandanna inside his binder and got it confiscated.
Other students have gotten their hats confiscated because they were visible, whether attached to a backpack or in a pocket.
The deans said that bandannas are a sign you are in a gang and thats not always the case. Sometimes people wear bandannas to tie back their hair.
We, the undersigned, request that the Deans at Pekin Community High School allow bandannas and hats inside the school building, and not suspend and/or confiscate these items.
