State and County Governments: Provide Health Care Now for Hawaii's Unemployed Workers

More than 1/3 of Hawaii's workforce is unemployed. In a matter of weeks, most of these individuals and are their families will lose their health insurance, which will trigger waves of health and economic catastrophes.
State and County leaders have the power and resources to address this now. Using existing programs like Medicaid and the $4 billion coming from Congress, our leaders could immediately provide high-quality, low-cost health care to our working people.
We, the undersigned, call on State and County leaders to use incoming Federal monies to immediately provide health insurance for Hawaii's large and growing unemployed workforce.
