My son has been refused entry to my daughter's Catholic school based on the schools own admission and boundary policy. The decision has not been based on our religious beliefs, family unit or how strongly we support the Catholic community school and church.

The school does not operate a sibling priority within its policy which as a Catholic school discriminates against the family unit.

There are many parents in Britain, who find themselves in circumstances where their children are refused places at the same school.

This is unacceptable, brothers and sisters should attend the same school from a community perspective, moral, religious and practical.

My son has been refused entry at my daughters school based on Geography now that the school is oversubscribed.

This school is St Raphaels in Ealing, although the admission policy it sets says it can take from the parish of St Raphaels which is based in Hillingdon, therefore ignoring LEA boundaries.

This petition is a demand that families are kept together and taught together in the same school providing continuity of care, safety of children and the same values and education is provided to each child within a family.

This is not my sons fault, and other children have been prioritised over him who are nearer to the church, who may not have a sibling and may even have not been in the area as long as we have.

There are so many working parents, who find it difficult enough to juggle work and family life, without having to even contemplate accommodating two different schools / different term and start dates/ and not the same standard of education for one sibling that another may be receiving.

Please sign this petition for all parents who may be in this position and for commonsense to prevail above admission policy that does not support the family unit.
