This year at Essex Tech, students are prohibited from wearing hats and hooded sweatshirts in their CTE areas for safety concerns. Last year there were no problems with clothing, and no serious injuries or accidents occurred at the school due to these reasons.
We, the students and parents of Essex Technical High School, call on the faculty, and administrators of Essex Tech to revoke the rules regarding clothing, for the wear of hats presents no safety concerns, and hoods on hooded sweatshirts be tucked in to prevent accident, rather than be taken off.
