SAY YES to a CHAMPIONS CLASS at UK SHOWS

ARE YOU FED UP WITH THE UNFAIR STATE OF PLAY AT CHAMP SHOWS WHERE TIME AND AGAIN THE SAME PEOPLE ARE AWARDED THE CC'S/RCC'S?

How many CC's does one dog/bitch need? There are some really lovely dogs out there (waiting in the wings), their owners would love the "chance" to make their dogs up. Yes, I know there are going to be a few (minority) who will say that "if the dogs are good enough, they will beat the Sh Ch in their class" ... RUBBISH, and they know it. A lot of judges tend to follow suit - if a dog is winning (well known face), then they tend to "play safe" and "follow the leaders", - it only takes one judge to go out on a limb for you and award you that first CC but sadly that "one judge" is few and far between. Then there is the "favour for a favour" aspect, won't go into that, but we ALL know it happens!

We ALL pay the same entry fees, we ALL deserve a "fair" crack of the whip, so, this petition to the KC saying we have had enough is what it's all about ... we would like another class for Champions only.

I know this is not just in cockers, it is in every breed, you hear people at the shows complaining all the time, but, nothing is getting done about it!
Why are people so afraid to "speak their minds", how many times have you heard people say at the side of the ring "so and so has been tipped for the ticket today", how many times have you actually marked up your catalogue before the dogs have entered the ring???? I am NOT saying that these dogs don't deserve to be champions, a lot of them are lovely dogs, but, there are a lot of OTHER lovely dogs out there that deserve to be champions as well.

SO WOULD YOU LIKE TO SEE A CHAMPIONS CLASS INCORPORATED AT SHOWS SO THAT OTHERS WOULD AT LEAST BE GIVEN A CHANCE AT MAKING UP THEIR DOG?

SHOULD THE KC ADOPT THE FCI RULES CONSIDERING THAT WE ARE NOW PART OF THE EU?

Existing champions could then compete for BOB alongside the CC winners.

Hopefully this would stop those people who like to amass every cc possible but unfortunately they are the ones with "friends in high places" so it makes it very difficult for all others therefore the only chance we have of getting fare play for all is by bombarding the KC with letters and petitions.

There are many breeds that should be able to make waves, alas no-one
wants to be seen to "buck the system" for fear of reprisal or that speaking up will cause them unfavourable treatment in some way.

We are all free spirits and quite capable of speaking up for our rights, no one can force us to follow like sheep and try to "get in" with the powers that be etc. - unfortunately tho' - this seems to be the ultimate aim of a lot of folks.

A Champions class would be the best thing that could happen in a lot of breeds as they all have the same problem. Surely the KC would have to sit up and listen if they were bombarded with many signatures/letters?

Possibly the most sensible thing to do would be to grant a Champions class to all the breeds in Band E, these are the breeds with the huge entries like ours, this could then be monitored and maybe extended slightly to the other Bands, for example with the minority breeds perhaps a CC winners class would be a good idea?
