Arena Swim Club is the largest Swimming Club in the North of Perth with over 90 competitive members from juniors to state and national swimmers.
The club is non profit and has run out of the WA State Owned Venues West Arena Complex for the past 10 years. Venues West has provided the club with use of the complex and coaching staff for 10 years but has decided that it needs to make revenue from the club.
Venues west are now demanding that the Arena Swim Club pay for its coaches, pay for hire of the swim lanes ($100,000 per year after a few years) and also pay full public swimming entry fees everytime the swimmers enter the complex to go to the lanes they have already paid $100,000 to hire!! Double charging.
We, the undersigned, call on the WA State Government to stop the proposed double charging of Arena Swim Club swimmers and drop the $100,000 lane hire fee to swim.
The Save Swimming in Perth - Arena Swim Club petition to Govenment was written by Rob Bonsall and is in the category Sports at GoPetition.
