The Doreen Community Market used to be run by Rotary, but unfortunately it ended in 2011 due to Rotary no longer providing support. The Country Women's Association - Doreen Branch wish to put back into the community by running the market on the last Sunday of the month (excluding December).
The Country Women's Association is a non for profit organisation, so each market a charity or local group will be chosen to receive the proceeds and therefore money will be put back into the community.
It is about bringing the community together and strengthening community spirit whilst helping out charities and local businesses and groups. Please sign the petition to help save the market and show your support for your local community and for local community spirit.
We, The undersigned, call upon Whittlesea City Council to approve the Doreen Community Market to continue.
