The proposed development of ten houses at 458 Bonogin Road, Bonogin Queensland has commenced with tree clearing without council approval.
The Bonogin Valley community have not had advance notice of the development or received representation by council to engage with the community to provide advice regarding environmental management from loss of bush nor impact to the natural habitat of wildlife species living in this designated area.
We, the undersigned respectfully petition Gold Coast City Council to consider the views of the Bonogin Valley community regarding the proposed development at 458 Bonogin Road.
It is understood Gold Coast City Council’s aim in community engagement, is to facilitate participation in planning and decision-making processes in an innovative, coordinated and transparent manner and to ensure community views are considered in Council decisions.
Therefore, we ask that the Bonogin Valley community not be ignored and that discussions with council be arranged at the convenience of everyone concerned.
